Good luck to him, one of my favourite ever players. Can definitely do a job in that league although he's not the same player obviously.

King van der Kwaak
grey_squirrel Can't help but think it must be awful and difficult for a player to come to grasp that he is in the twylight of his career and ending up back in the league where they started.

Ooh, I hope so. He started at Arseley Town who play in the Southern Football League. If Kitson finished his career in that league with Oxford, it would be a happy, happy day.

You are really, really creepy.

Ian Royal
melonhead probably in the top 3 strikers ive seen play for us.and probably the best all round footballer of the three
what a meteoric fall

good luck you ginger genius

I'd take away the probably and put in place definitely.

Didn't put enough effort into training. Gangly legs that can't take knocks combining with injuries. He'd always said he wouldn't last past 30. He just hasn't stopped playing despite that.

Better than Senior,Dixon,Cureton,or Butler?

Never saw Senior or Dixon. Cureton or Butler? Very comfortably better. TBH his only real competition IMO is Roberts and I think you have to disqualify him for only having a good 6 months. ALF could challenge him with a couple of good season. Maybe Pog too.

(Roberts)
Kitson
Doyle
Quinn
Long
Forster

Maybe.

If its recent history then agreed,Kitson got to be top three.

Better than Jimmy Quinn? I would have loved to have seen him play for us when he was in his 20s.

For me,Kerry Dixon was the best in my time, going back to 1970/71 season.

Good luck Kits!

A good old fashioned forward, and when the goals finally dry up, there will always be a defensive position for you at some club somewhere.

For those players still stacking shelves...never lose that dream

He stacked shelves before he became a footballer? Hmm, you would think he would have mentioned that......

Shame really, only seems like the other day that he was a £5 million rated player going to Stoke. Now he is lucky to even be getting a deal at a club as a free agent

Best of luck to him

Shame then for them that Kits waited until he was old, bloated, and his knees were shot. I love the guy though and hope he has an Indian summer.

You'd think he'd save it for his next book? Watch out for this weeks Secret Footballer column on terrible refereeing.

St. Brynjar http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24805861

Big-mouth strikes again.

To be fair if what he said is true - about the injury to Potter - then he's right and the melon of a ref should be sent back to ref school for a year or two.
