Seeing two of the clubs best players sold in two consecutive summers and the captain as well tends to make people question the direction a football club is heading.

His job is to play football, if he was better he might have got a move as well.
The way the club is run is not his problem. Long and siggy got moves not because of money, but because we could not keep them, they were better than us

Spot on. We couldn't have kept either in the Championship. They were too good and deserved their shot in the Premier League.

Perhaps he rang bbc berks because he was fit and desperate to play for Reading. Otherwise he could have seen it as he is one of 5 wingers and not in Adkins plans. Surely a fit Kebe should have been on the bench??

When Kebe signed the contract it was on the same terms he had been offered before TSI came in that would suggest even further that he just wanted assurances on the clubs intentions rather than a money issue. How do you know that he has never been offered moves away but chose to stay?

Yes they were very good players but the main reason they were sold was to balance the books. Shane in particular would have been quite happy to stay and work for Brian as they had a close bond but they told him that that was not an option as the club needed the money.

Fact remains, the only two times he's engaged with the media since his intial signing (as far as I can recall anyway) is to be critical of the club and aggitate things in his favour.

Is that acceptable? Down to personal opinion I guess.

As for signing his contract on the same terms, when those terms include massive benefits to him for us getting promoted the fact we suddenly had a load of money to help that promotion push (and hence his earning potential) does change the offer made to him in real terms.

St. Brynjar If we had Kebe for 38 games last year I honestly think we'd have been much closer to staying up.

sandman Again? He has hardly ever talked to BBCRB or the Post.

The only other time I can remember him giving a full on interview was when he kicked off about the clubs ambition etc in January last year when he was in contract negotiations before the TSI deal went through.

direct criticism of the new owner for not spending

Shrewd answer, given Jimmy's antics last season.

The Prisoner Signed for Newcastle

Not sure the Newcastle fans would like that. Tweets last year and they would (no offence to Kebe) probably want more ambitious signings.

Could have stayed up. He might be thinking theres no plan again this year. Could be no striker, too many wingers , too many centre backs. No real investment (again)

To quote a certain Ady Williams:----> "No Jimmy Kebe?... When does the transfer window shut? Just saying".
