TBM Made me laugh cos the ref signalled for the throw to be taken but once it went in said "oooh i didn't blow the whilst"
What i don't understand is, though, why didn't the Norwich player just throw it back to the keeper - or was he "in" on it too?!
I do reckon though, it should be down to the ref to disallow a goal if he feels its unsporting behaviour.

As Fer said, in the Dutch league you don't give the ball back, so I imagine Van Wolfswinkle or whatever he's called was expecting Fer to slot home as well.
Not up to the ref to sort it out IMO.

Brian's left bollock I think you'll find that as soon as the throw in was taken the ref signalled for it to be retaken, so there was no way that it could have been a goal anyway.

They have been told not to send the ball out for injuries and the ref will stop it if he wants.
You either need refs to actually stop the game more often for injuries (very abusable), or physio's to be able to come on in play.

I remember in my final year of school in the senior rugby cup play was brought back from a 3 on 1 try scoring opportunity to treat an injury to a player of ours the ref was standing next to.. The player in question was fine and stood up saying he was winded and gave out to the ref as play was moving away from him and it was a clear try if play had gone ahead. The ref then warned him for swearing and we went on to lose the game following 2 more disallowed tries. Gutting moment.
In short refs shouldn't have more power to stop play in any sport.

Ian Royal You need a rule for what happens if the ball hits the physio though I guess.
