and just like the FA Vase (5.5k), the FA Trophy (19k), justification to bin some of those Wembley rights (especially when the localities of the finalists are from north of the Watford Gap services).

And as non-league-nut Talk-Squawks Tony Incenzo alludes to in this weeks Non League Paper, why not combine fixtures like these as a bit of a "jamboree"....£30 entrance all day for more than the one game.

Because it takes planning.

How do you propose a wolves vs Bradford playoff at 12 pm followed by Portsmouth vs Oxford at 7pm?

Same could be said for non league fixtures....

Nobody is proposing L1 & L2 finals be played on the same day, despite the very low crowd for the L2 final.

Having the FA Vase & Trophy on the same day is a different matter.

What you most certainly wouldn't do is play one game at 12, empty the stadium, then play another game at 7.45. What would be the point?

You'd just play both games, one after the other, and tickets would be valid for both games. That way you get fans staying to watch both games, resulting in a bigger crowd. Not all would watch both games, but a fair number would.
