Talk to just about any Wednesday fan for more than a minute or two and three phrases will enter the conversation
1) Too big for the Championship
2) A massive club
3) Bigger than Leeds
If you mention our beloved RFC you'll get
4) You have no history
5) The PL isn't for the likes of you.
The sense of entiltlement from them, Forest and Derby drives me nuts....admittedly I do live right in the middle of all 3 fan bases......So I am desperate for Hull to go up![/quote]

Wednesday are not as Massive as Brighton .Shame they got knocked out . The premiership needs big clubs like Brighton.

I think we should take a leaf out of the IPL book.
Game 1. 3rd vs 4th (winner to final)
Game 2. 5th vs 6th.
Game 3 Winner game 2 vs loser game 1 (winner to final)

All one off games.

LUX
BR2 I thought it was a cracking game last night but still feel that the play-off system is wrong and only ever came in to generate even more money from the fans.
As when we finished second to 'Boro I always feel sorry for the team that finishes below the promoted sides having been in a league competition all season then having to enter a knock-out competition.

.............

disagreed. The play-offs are gr8 for football/neutrals/the team that wins.

It's just that RFC are pisspoor at them.

Except that game against Cardiff
One of my fave ever away games

I think
5th (home) v 6th .......... winner (away) plays 4th .......... winner plays 3rd

Would be the absolute fairest way of 'seeding' the playoffs

Classy Hull fans invading the pitch and abusing Derby players. Keogh very nearly took the bait there

Should punish those who pitch invade and try to provoke the players, don't like that behaviour at all. They do it knowing full well the player can't react or he ends up getting a minimum 3 match suspension for next season.

TBH, and it pains to say, but Brighton were the only decent team in the play off positions, the other 3 have all looked awful by comparison to other team's promotion campaigns in the Championship in recent years. Without major surgery whoever wins out of Sheff Wed and Hull will come straight back down again. But then I suppose a number of clubs are just happy to get the money these days. ...

Just goes to show how totally and utterly inept Reading were this season.

The first leg where Brighton got 4 injuries made me start believing there might well be a God.

And he hates Brighton too.

Agreed.

In terms of quality and best teams making it to the final, it's not a vintage final for that.
