Proper manager. Just him being there gives the players an automatic 20% each. United must be kicking themselves, would have been the perfect man for them in their current state.

On face value it is laughable but I think he would be a better choice than Carrick in the short term. Recent experience managing at the top level, knows the club etc. I don't think it will happen but it would be worth consideration.

I like Bruce more than most, but I'd laugh my titting tits off if he became United manager, even as a stopgap.

They should give it to Scholes until the end of the season. He's been very vocal about what's wrong with the current team so maybe he could put his legend of the club status under jeopardy.

If they’re going down that road, Stam said a while back he’d be interested in the United job :?

Give it to Roy Keane - would boot the players into action again

We can all hope. Keane as his number 2.

Let him go on a 5 game winning run, offer him a 3 year contract, then go into free fall.

Good point.
I am always amazed at how much credit is given to managers who make successful substitutions-why the fcuk didn't you start with those players?

Wild guess, but the EFL embargo, business plan and the requirement NOT to pay transfer fees might be an issue ?

(Or am I due a whoosh ?)

But he would cost that much, surely? Apparently we will sell Swift and could use some of that money.

In this case I don't think anybody was expecting Kalvin Phillips to start in a back three were they? Conte could have switched tactics/formation during the first half but maybe getting to half time and having 10mins to explain what he wanted to change was the better option. If they'd gone 2 down in the first half I'm sure he'd have changed it straight away.
