Pepe the Horseman Lol @ Brighton fans booing their team off after drawing with Leeds. They were 8th at the time

Not that I’m defending it but just for a bit of context, they haven’t won any of their last 9 games - and you know how fickle football fans are

It’s the same problems with them that most identified, really should have got a striker in the summer as Maupay doesn’t quite cut it and Welbeck is always injured

Huddersfield fans booed their team off on Saturday after losing 2-0 to Boro, they're 8th and having a comparatively great season

Definitely think booing culture is getting way out of hand nowadays

And people wonder why there seems to be an ever growing divide between players and supporters

Fair few Huddersfield fans seem to think CC has taken them as far as he can which is perhaps a little strange as their side is certainly one of the weaker ones in the league

Winston Biscuit a loss to Norwich would create the most glorious panic

Reckon Norwich have a genuine chance of staying up under Dean Smith, on some decent form too. If they go up to Newcastle and get an early goal it could be a very difficult night for Newcastle and a very amusing one for anybody who doesn't support them.

Would like to see Newcastle back down, preferably to the usual teams of Norwich and Watford

Why are you talking about football that happened on a Tuesday , on the weekend football thread?

Tuesday is not the weekend.

Pretty sure Rafa Benitez is a deep cover agent for Liverpool.

West Ham really can’t seem to beat Brighton! Since Brighton’s promotion in 2017, they’ve now faced each other 9 times, with Brighton winning 3 and the last 6 meetings ending in a draw

Thought Liverpool looked electric tonight offensively, although they left a fair bit of space behind which Everton capitalised on a few times. Still tipping Chelsea for the title who don’t seem to give as much away as Liverpool do and still obviously have that attacking talent

16 different goalscorers this season - and no-one has more than five in all competitions. Fantastic squad of players, remarkable potency in front of goal given Lukaku's injury and Pulisic being out of favour. Ziyech doesn't get many minutes either.

Can't remember a season where 3 teams all look this strong. Points tally so far has all 3 projected to get above 84 points. Not sure that has ever happened before

Think Liverpool will fall away in January when they lose Mane and Salah, think a Champions League win could be on the cards for them though.

I know I've always been against the idea in men's football but there really should be a pre qualifying tournament in Women's football. Not sure how Latvia benefit from losing 20-0. There certainly isn't the same argument of the financial benefits of playing the bigger nations when the game is played out in front of 10,000 people.

The record points tally for third place (Premier League era) is 83. Chelsea came third in 2008-09 with 83 points, behind Liverpool (86) and United (90). The previous season Arsenal were third, behind Chelsea (85) and United (87). Chelsea and Liverpool have both finished third on 82 points.

And the record for fourth place is 79, by Arsenal in 2013-14. In that same season, United came seventh with 64 points, a tally that would have been good enough for fourth in 1997-98, when Chelsea lost 15 times but still finished in that spot, as they only drew three.

Are you suggesting Origi and Minamimo won’t fill the void?

With the likes of Werner, Lukaku, Ziyech, Pulisic, Mount, CHO and Havertz, think Chelsea have the strongest depth in attack, even if individually, they aren’t at the same level as the likes of City and Liverpool. On a tangent but if you were to do a strongest Prem XI, I reckon you’d struggle to include (m)any Chelsea players but on a collective level, they’re perhaps the strongest side

Oh, and Barkley

Almost as funny as Maguire blaming the ball for him not finding the top corner from 35 yards out.
