John Smith (UN)Suprisingly unpopular opinion from me yet again: David Moyes should be relieved of his duties at West Ham after the most appalling performance and result of the season so far on Saturday. To surrender a two goal lead in their most winnable match in a torrid run is unforgivable and his position is untenable for me. Allardyce back in to rescue them before the season is over.

Not unpopular I would think. It was a ridiculous appointment

It was a crazy appointment and I think it told the West Ham supporters all they needed to know about the clubs owners.

It was a cheap/backwards option but I’m not sure it was crazy/ridiculous

I don’t think Moyes will be the man to advance them to another level but as he did a couple of years ago, I think he’ll have enough to get them over the line

It's alright though. Their next two fixtures are Man City and Liverpool away.

I do hope they go down, the natives will burn the stadium down for sure. I think relegation could absolutely destroy them.

I'd rather we didn't have to play them again personally.

the wheels have really fallen off Palace and Brighton, both are now in real danger of the drop. I really do hope the 'Barcelona of the south' go down. Horrible fans.

Of Brighton’s remaining 12 fixtures they still have to play

Sheff utd away
Liverpool home
Man City home
Man U home
Arsenal home
Leicester away
Wolves away

If I were a betting man my money would be on them going.

Quite a generous price at 4/1 as well.

As well as or instead of West Ham? Assuming Norwich have already gone too?

Champions league race could be interesting in the last few weeks, with Leicester hosting United and Chelsea hosting Wolves on the last day of the season

Also a few teams vying for Europa League with Burnley certainly in contention although I’m not particularly sure about the rules surrounding this, if it’s top 6 or top 7

Relegation race also kept alive with Bournemouth and Villa both winning, could possibly have dragged Brighton back into the mix too

Although the title race was done and dusted early, could be a really interesting few battles still to come, particularly with many teams around each other playing each other on the last game of the season

With regards to Zaha, this weekend..

Footballer Wilfried Zaha says that "things need to change" after he received racist abuse on social media, as a 12-year-old boy arrested over the incident was released under investigation.

The Crystal Palace star was sent a series of abusive messages and racist imagery on his Instagram account, including one message which read: "You better not score tomorrow you black c***".

12 years old?

Moyes done really well at West Ham, can see them doing well next season if they keep hold of star players

Rice and Soucek make a really strong midfield base

Grady Diangana going back to West Ham from his impressive loan spell at West Brom too

But it's West Ham, screwing things up is what they do best!

Premier League to start 12th September and finish on 23rd May, obviously Rona depending.

If I've understood correctly, the 20-21 Champions League and Europa League will start before the 19-20 competition has been completed.

I guess that will only be the prelims and other qualifying rounds?

That is still a bit crazy though.

Yep, only affects the qualis, but means UEFA has a crapload of scenarios on hand as the coefficients that they use to determine access to each qualifying round won't be fully nailed down when those qualifying rounds are played.
