Sanguine I just have a funny feeling we're inching towards another 'Agueeeerrrrroooooo!' moment on the last day in the Premier League - City and Liverpool winning their next three or four, and then something happening late at either the Etihad (City host Brendan Rodger's Leicester) or Anfield (Liverpool play top six-troublers Wolves).

I'm pretty sure City are away to Brighton on the last day

FWIW I think both teams are going to win their last 3 so tonight essentially decides the title

Winston Biscuit I too think there is a twist in the tale to come.

Either City win tonight, everyone assumes they are champions but they slip up on another game, or City lose tonight, Liverpool think they are on track to be champions but they slip up on one of their last games.

Is it all set up for Wes Morgan to stab one home late on, on the final day? Brendan cupping his ears to the Kop?

The Enfield Royal71 Fingers crossed that forest green go up.

What a Cinderella story that would be!

No way, they can keep their vegan sausage rolls in League 2!

Hungerford needing just a point on the final day for safety! That is a Cinderella story I can get behind :D

Maybe he will, but it won't make a blind bit of difference to the title race

Not sure how Morgen scoring a late goal in a home game against Chelsea is going to change the course of the title but that's a beautiful image.

OK, blame Sanguine - he said Liverpool are playing Leicester. I don't actually give the faintest care in the world about the premiership: dross league

You clearly have less knowledge about football then Ian Royal.....

No, like I said I have absolutely zero interest in the Premiership. I'd rather watch Walsall and Plymouth slog it out in League One, but I'm sure you'd be able to relate being a supporter of a lower league club yourself.

Yep, my bad. Penultimate games is the tale of former Liverpool managers. City host Brendan's Leicester, and Liverpool go to Rafa's Newcastle. City's last game is at Brighton. Still think the season will be decided in the last ten minutes.

While I think it's all over I'd enjoy Brendan finally winning a title for Liverpool

Leyton Orient's draw at Solihull together with a Salford home defeat to Fylde means they need just a point from their final game to return to the League but even a defeat should seem them up bar a Goal Difference swing of 5 in Salford's favour or 8 in Solihull's.

Are we all agreed that Leyton Orient coming back up can be seen as a generally good thing?

Yes. Remember watching them reasonably regularly on The Big Match on a Sunday afternoon in the 70s (you know, those days when football wasn't a money obsessed business and was a ton more fun). They were constantly in division 2 and I always liked the exotic name

Seem to remember Gerry Queen (he of the headline "Queen in brawl at Palace") Phil Hoadley and John Cheidozie turning out for them

Orient's return to the football league has to be applauded by any football fan who understands what it means to support a team. They have not deserved the way their club has been destroyed since losing to rotherham on pens in the league 1 final. Good to see them back in the big time 8)

Huddersfield are utter shite........they are so far out of their depth its untrue.
Won't surprise me to see them struggle in the championship next season.

Huddersfield were great last season....they survived

It seems to be the second season up there that is the problem for some teams.

Not that that's a problem...most football fans aren’t interested in the Premier shenanigans

yeah, almost as if there's a consistent pattern of regression to the mean in a second season in the Premiership

there's probably a snappier phrase for it

My Villa supporting mates were looking at the Sunday game and thinking Leeds would be going all out to damage the Villa side. Even though its not likely to be changing anything about the play off picture, I can see it being tasty.
