Ahh I thought he might've been watching. I like Matty think he is a really good striker. Just hasn't been given a chance in the FL yet.

1-0 win against a very strong and Auld enemy in Grimsby.

May this be our season?

Joint top with our local rivals Swindon and Exeter

That huge Forest Green/Grimsby rivalry huh? Akin to River Plate and Boca Juniors.

I thought Tranmere were the Auld Enemy?

At least the "rivalry" with Grimsby almost goes back a decade.

They are both the Aldi enemy. Great rivals of us who have battled for years to go up.

Aldi is about right. Cheap, cheerful and OK for a quick fix but fundamentally lacking in quality and range.

I'd hesitate to call any rivalry "Auld" when FGR hadn'd played either team prior to 2010 and the other 2 clubs don't give a toss about FGR.

It's like claiming Burton Albion have a fierce rivalry with us.

Isn't it just a figure of speech?

Well, if by enemies you mean teams who've played each other occasionally, but otherwise have no other sort of connection, cultural or geographical, yes.

FGR may have left their old rivalries behind but new ones take time to evolve.

We have had some good tussles with both for promotion over the years.

Like reading, forest green have no actual enemies. They are a nice family club.

2-1 down to poor vale. Joseph Mills, called the best LB in L1 and L2 by many, scored.

They got lucky. Very good striker in pope but by no means a good team.
