Just imagine the noises coming out of Sky if/when Rooney takes over at Derby.

And imagine if that happens and they play Leeds in the cup.

Sky would create a new Sky Sports Leeds channel and hold a 3 week marathon of their games, plus then create a 6 part documentary about how they "won our hearts" playing and losing against Liverpool

Southend are a shambles right now, but having conceded 12 goals in their last two games without response, Morecambes’ 2-1 away win at Roots Hall must be a relief.

However, Blackburns’ 4-0 at Derby wins it for me.

Literally in shock right now. I cannot believe it. Can they now go on to win the league?!

As I posted, I was very impressed at Leicester on tv v Burnley last week. Their Belgians are fantastic. And they are my Premier League team this year.

All three Belgians are only fringe players for the national team, I think.

Belgium have fantastic players all over the Premiership, and in other top leagues.

France too ( they are world champions mind you).

Maupay has never got near the national team, for example.

Guardiola seems to have hit a wall with City. They haven't improved for three seasons now. They have got away with murder at the back at times and it really came back to haunt them today. The big problem now is Liverpool are a bigger proposition. Stirling just runs.....useless in front of goal and sometimes stands around like a statue instead of making runs in the box. De Bryne will get fed up at some point and Madrid will come knocking. And I know they have injuries but the fact is that they are all attacking players.

Pep Guardiola has spent the same amount on defenders since 2016 as Real Madrid has spent on Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Eden Hazard, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos

Not specifically knocking any of the opposition but the main reason why I believe Liverpool will be champions again is because they have less weaknesses than the rest.

Arguably their only weaknesses are the defensive side of the game relating to the two full-backs whereas taking City, Chelsea and Man Utd you could argue that they have weaknesses in more than two positions and for starters there is hardly a decent full-back amongst them let alone centre-backs.

It will be interesting to see tonight if Arsenal's game plan of letting Liverpool play works as well as it has the last two times that the teams have met.
