Oh no. Oh dear Bournemouth. Missed in the 90th minute and VAR just screwed them AGAIN in the 94th minute.

Thats 3 games in a row where VAR has oxf*rd them.

AthleticoSpizz Manager sack thread cross-over I know, but, how long do we give Bielsa next season?
Seems to have a good rapport going on up there tho’.

I think he'll quit way before the club get to stage of wanting to sack him. Their fans are going to be a nightmare until the new season starts but at least its good for the city if the club are doing well.

Utter nonsense.

To clarify, I don't think he'll quit next season but I can't see him being there for years and years.
They really need to find a decent striker and Hernandez isn't anywhere near as effective in the Premier league. But you'd think they'll be more Sheff U than Norwich next season.

I would agree with that, yes. If he keeps them up next season I could see him handing over to a younger man.
All depends on investment. A club of their size are quite an attractive proposition. Big stadium, history, huge fanbase. Lots of plus points for sponsors.

Not really

Was a simple offside call and where VAR is at its best

You could also argue it was on their side against Spurs as it denied them an obvious penalty

So, with the GD as close as it is the last round of games at the bottom we have a real 3 way PL survival battle:

Villa match the results of those below they stay up unless Watford win by more. So Villa win 1-0 & Watford say 3-0 Villa drop with Bournemouth. If the GD is tied, Villa up on goals scored.

Watford need to better Villa's result to stay up.

Bournemouth need to win and the other 2 lose to stay up on GD as any win will see them improve a -27 GD whilst Villa (-26) and Watford (-27) will have worse GD following a defeat.

Some ifs, buts and maybes but if Villa and Watford finish on the same points and Watford go down, Sheffield’s “goal” against them could be the one that kept them up

Similarly, Watford obtaining a -12 goal difference against Man City alone hasn’t helped their cause

Oh yeah, if Villa stay up as a result of a VAR error, that will be an interesting fallout.

And the last fixtures for these three clubs are

Arsenal v Watford
Everton v Bournemouth
West Ham v Aston Villa

I reckon three home wins are in store there so it’s just a question of whether the Hammers beat Villa by more than Arsenal beat Watford.

Think it’s going to be goodnight for managerless Watford - or can former Reading player Hayden Mullins save the day...

Could argue it might be 3 away wins. West Ham saved themselves last week so they'll have mentally switched off and just about be clearing the hangover. Everton have been on the beach since they managed to draw their big fixture. Arsenal know winning the FA Cup is their route to Europe, why risk anything before that.

this is one of those things you can argue either way.

no pressure so they...

1. switched_off and played shite
2. relaxed and played well

All six teams being capable of being utter bobbins on any given day too.
Not really bothered about which two go down so I'm hoping for loads of dodgy VAR decisions, own goals and one match having 10 mins added time due to a few injuries when one more goal in that match would change everything.

Preference would be Bournemouth and Villa, preferably with the latter sunk by a last minute Mings og

Luton drawing and Charlton losing which means Charlton drop into the bottom 3, but Wigans points deduction would out them 3rd from bottom!
