Sanguine Erling Haaland the fastest player to 15 Champions League goals (albeit he is now on 16), in just 12 games. Beats the record previously held by Van Nistelrooy and Soldado, which was 19 games.

He's got 17 in 13 games now this season for Dortmund. 23 in 18 if you include his goals for Norway.

I really hope Real Madrid or Barca don't get hold of him, would love to see him over here in the Premier League on a weekly basis.

Indeed. There's talk of United or Liverpool moving for him next summer, but ultimately I don't think he's affordable, and will end up in Spain. Which will be a shame - with his size and strength and finishing there is something of Shearer about him, albeit a taller and quicker version.

Think Man City might be an option for him. I assume Aguero leaves at the end of the season so there will be a big hole to be filled.

He's on 102 goals for his career, or 108 if you include those for Norway. 73 league goals. Or 62 goals total since he left Molde. But total number aside, that conversion rate is mad. It can't be right, shirley?

https://www.sportbible.com/football/foo ... e%20target.

Just found the stat. Still not sure where they get 70 goals from, but the stat is goals from shots on target. So he's probably had plenty off target too. But still, 70 of 91 if the ball hits the area of the goal, is ridiculous.

I didn't verify it. Was a stat produced by a blue tick reporter on Twitter so assumed credible.

Basically, if Haaland gets a proper sight of goal, you're fcuked. I don't watch a lot of Dortmund, are teams not trying to mark him out of the game yet?

Seen a lot of Dortmund this season on BT Sport. He is one of those players you just can't do anything with. He reminds me a bit of peak Zlatan but about 10x's as quick. Every now and then a player like him that comes along who opposition teams can't handle and just have to accept it. If you try to mark him he just drifts out wide, if you stand off him he will use his speed to get past you, you're fcuked against him in the air because he is so big and his feet are up there with the best I've seen for a big man.

Thought Giroud's goal was outstanding last night. Classic one player just wanting it more than those he is against kind of moment.

Drogba was a bit like that for a season or two with Chelsea...properly unplayable!

I have seen suggestions in the press over here that there was a €68m release fee put in his contract when he signed, which I believe is only valid in 2022 - so will definitely be affordable if someone doesn't pay silly money in the meantime.

The video of the incident seems to be Demba Ba kicking off that the 4th official indicated a player by saying 'that black guy'

Believe it was either that or "negru" which is Romanian for black. Video of Demba Ba very correctly stating "why do you say that black guy, you don't say that white guy, you just say that guy. So why say black".

The 4th official has clearly tried the Suarez defense and claimed he was just calling the guy black and not using the N word. oxf*rd idiot racists.

And then you read the bbc comments section about BLM and you don't need to wonder why the world is still oxf*rd
