John Smith
Winston Biscuit Sounding like the Copa Libertadores final will be played in Qatar on Dec 8th

Cheers for the constant stream of updates on this match that no one is interested in. Never knew Boca Juniors were a European side

I am mildly interested in this but only because I like to see South Americans getting tear gassed.

Other teams do have games in hand, but it's great to see Kilmarnock top of the SPL at this stage of the season.

during this weeks On The Continent podcast they talked about clubs who's fans have an affinity with each other and will sometimes be happy for the opposition to win or will encourage their club to beat another team as it helps a particular club.

All a bit alien to us Brits, but they said Udinese & Chievo take it a step further and it's tradition for their fans arrange to have pre match meals together when they play one another

Top scorers from the 'big 5' leagues

14 Messi (goal every 82 minutes) Barcelona
12 Alcacer (goal every 39 minutes) Dortmund
12 Piatek (goal every 110 minutes) Genoa
12 Mbappe (goal every 70 minutes) PSG
10 Aubameyang (goal every 131 minutes) Arsenal

Alcacer is still doing the super sub thing and has only played a total of 468 minutes (just over 5 games)

Yeah, it's a little silly. He's played a bit more than that, 768 minutes total across the Bundesliga and Champions League. But his record when starting is 2 goals in 491 minutes (a goal every 246 minutes). As a sub, he has 10 goals in 277 minutes, a goal every 28 minutes, which is totally mental.

His 34-minute appearance against Monchengladbach just before the Xmas break was the only sub appearance of eight in the league in which he hasn't scored.

PSG win 9-0 (beating the team that knocked them out of the cup)

Halfway point in the league and they have dropped just 4 points

Bundesliga back at the weekend - Dortmund and Bayern both win, meaning Dortmund retain the 6pt gap at the top with Moenchengladbach a further 3 points back.

Girona show their usual Catalan solidarity again to hand over the three points to Barcelona.

Anyway.

Perez takes a stand against the poor refereeing standards in La Liga.

Vested interest of course but someone has stand up against the awful standard of Spanish referees. I doubt they would take notice if it was the likes of Getafe and Girona.
