Zaragoza lose yet again and have blown automatic promotion.

Albecete beat them which means they jump out the last relegation zone and 99/00 La Liga winners Deportivo La Coruna drop into it with just 1 game to go!

Deportivo have their final game against Fuenlabrada who are in the final play off sport and need to win to keep that

Jude Bellingham officially signs for Dortmund. Good signing and a good move for him.

After looking like they could even snatch the League from Juve, Lazio are down to 4th after their post covid collapse. Their, and Juve's, poor form has brought other teams back into the race and Inter are now 2nd just 5 points behind Juve. Atalanta up to 3rd.

Juve Vs Lazio tonight. A win for Lazio and all 3 chasing teams will be waiting to pounce on Juve in the last 4 games, a win for Juve and they have pretty much won the league

France Football: "Such a year cannot - and should not - be treated as an ordinary year.

"We did not want to put an indelible asterisk on the prize list like 'Trophy won in exceptional circumstances due to the Covid-19 health crisis'."

Thoughts and prayers with Robert Lewandowski who must be going through a tough time right now

Very harsh for him. Although messi would have somehow won it.

Deportivo's match with Fuenlabrada was postponed after 6 players from the latter came down with coroners. Spanish FA decided the other matches should go ahead and so they did.

Results in the other games didnt go their way with Lugo and Albecete both winning and so Deportivo are relegated to the 3rd tier.

The rearranged game is still important as Fuenlabrada can get into the play offs with a win

Juventus beat lazio 2-1 meaning they are going to win the league

Ronaldo scored twice meaning he now has 30 goals. Immobile scored once meaning he now has 30 goals.

Before tonight only 2 players in the past 60 years had scored 30 goals or more in a Serie A season (Toni and Higuain). 4 games left for either of them to try and get 6 goals and equal the all time Serie A record

Would like to see Immobile over here, very good striker. I know he didn't have a great time in Germany but I think he'd be a good option for Manchester City/United.

I mean he is going to win La Liga's golden boot (25 goals) despite missing two months of the season through injury, and has also set a La Liga assists record for a single season with 21 so far. But yeah, Lewandowski would have been deserving, not least should Bayern win the CL.

At the other end of the spectrum, Thomas Lemar, who went to Atletico Madrid last summer amid interest from Liverpool and Arsenal, has managed to make 29 appearances this season without registering a single goal or assist.

Ronaldo has 51 goals in 61 league games since joining Juve. He is 35 years old.

Just mental

I note, what looks like, Scottish Premiership football starting again on 1st August yet I thought Hearts we’re taking the SPL to court (so I presume Hearts failed to do so or lost the decision). None of the other Scottish leagues have fixtures scheduled as yet however.

Deportivo, along with some other clubs, have requested to the Spanish FA that they stay in that division as not playing at the same time puts them at a disadvantage. They say their opponents, Fuenlabrada, broke all sorts of agreed rules on how to handle Covid and Deportivo should not be punished due to that.

Also It is revealed that Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, had an undeclared job paying €130k a year for 2 years as an advisor to Fuenlabrada up to 2018. This is a big story in itself and looks like it may result in him being booted out of Spanish football, but Deportivo are also using it as an argument as to why they should stay in the Segunda division.

Whilst I have some sympathy - how would Depor playing have effected the other results? Even if they had played and won, they would still have dropped.

Agreed. On Deportivo's side of things it seems to be more on principle than anything else. I read that 8 clubs have complained to the Spanish FA about the matches going ahead while one was postponed. it's something that was considered an absolute no-no in the past. Also Fuenlabrada now know exactly what result they need to get a play off place, which clubs are angry about.

Segunda play offs were due to start 2 days ago but they still don't know the final team in them. Shambles

Immobile with a hat-trick today taking him to 34 goals in 35 league games this season.

2 games left to get 2 goals and equal the all time Serie A record.

Its HT in the Juve match and Ronaldo has 1 which would take him to 31 if that is his lot today
