Sanguine Pleased to see that sandman is still crying about Barcelona.

Presumably Cuneo took it easy after 40 minutes, scoring just six more goals.

He obviously has an issue with the top sides-IIRC he is also hung up on our top side, Liverpool.
How anybody who loves football cannot enjoy watching Barcelona and, for that matter, Liverpool, City or Juventus is beyond me.

Spanish football announce that the Spanish Super Cup (Spanish version of the Community Shield) will change from next season and become a "final four" tournament featuring the League winners, Cup winners and 2 other teams - one would assume this will always ensure both Barca and Real take part.

All games will be played outside of Spain.

Would assume this would be the compromise of not playing a La Liga game outside of Spain.

Tbf it's 14 years since either Barca or Real weren't involved, and it's happened just three times ever.

I guess it would be to ensure that both of them are involved.

Yep that was my point. If the other 2 spots are invitees then, as could happen this season if Real don't win the league or cup they will still be in the Super Cup. Easy sell to have it in Florida with Barca, Real and 2 others. Not so easy if it's say Betis, Villareal, Sevilla and Getafe.

Would assume most years it will be:

Barca,
R. Madrid
A. Madrid
Other

Claudio Pizzaro scored for Werder Bremen the other day at 40 years old. Oldest ever goalscorer in the Bundesliga, also scored for 21 consecutive seasons in Germany which is a record.

How does that compare to Giggs' record in The Prem?*

*I am too lazy to google...

Dortmund continue to blow it. Bayern now level on points with them.

Listened to a podcast this morning which said Jack Harper has been one of the standout players in the Spanish 2nd tier. Malaga in 3rd place, level on points with 2nd.

Also heard a journalist detailing Real Madrid's history of discrediting their big name players and attacking their character as part of a build up to offloading them and potentially making a loss on transfer fee. They explained how this has worked in the past because apparently it matches exactly what has just started being done to Gareth Bale and is all about damage limitation from fans.

Very regular stories now being run in Marca about Bale not being one of the lads, his English not being good enough, him turning down team dinners as he wants early nights and one story about him watching golf on his iPad on the team coach (even though others were doing the same)

Similarloly, Fabio Quagliarella is joint top-scorer in Serie A (19 goals, same as Cristiano Ronaldo), at 36 years of age. 19 goals equals his best ever league haul, set last year aged 35, prior to which he'd never scored more than 13 league goals in a season.

Espanyol signed Wu Lei, a Chinese centre forward, last month.

The viewing figures on Spanish TV for their match at the weekend against Valladolid was 177k. The viewing figures for that match on Chinese TV was 40 million.

He scored too
