Nice fella but a joke decision.
Incidentally this good sportsman(?) was haranguing the ref on Saturday to book a Villa player-I thought it was only non-Brits that did that sort of thing just like their diving.......oh.

I cannot accept that ANYONE seriously thought Giggs deserved the award over Ennis (especially), Button and others, it was not a lifetime achievement award and anyone who seriously rates winning the Premiership and Carling Cup over winning the WORLD TITLE at track and field, boxing, Formula 1, diving (aged 15) and gymnastics (for the first time ever!) or captaining England to the Ashes, reaching number 2 in the world at tennis or winning 6 stages at the Tour de France does not have a valid opinion. They have Susan Boyle's intelligence, Louis Tomlinson's knowledge and Simon Cowell's humility.

I consider achievements IN THE YEAR first and only then use career achievements as a tiebreaker. Steve Redgrave won as much as Denise Lewis in 2000 so it was OK to use his career as a tiebreaker. Giggs was so far below Ennis and co in achievements IN 2009 that there was no tiebreaker, because Ennis and others beat him by miles.

A well thought out response there, mind you you've had 8 years to work on it.
