Arsenal interested in Jonny Evans now too. This has all the hallmarks of a panic buying week for Arsenal like when they bought Mertesacker, Santos and Arteta a few years a go

Rumours are that Andros Townsend is going to Leicester and Demarai Gray is going the other way.

Could this beat the summer most pointless transfer (Joe Hart) so far?

Quite funny that a) Chelsea were ever in for Oxlade-Chamberlain, and b) that he rejected the move.

There's been a lot of rumours going around, but all the major outlets picked up the Ox transfer, so I'm going with true.

But as I said, I don't get it. And I don't get Liverpool's interest either. They have been great going forward this season, and that's without Lallana to come back from injury, and possibly Coutinho too. Don't see how Ox improves them (or Chelsea).

Every year we see the media throwing out rumours all over the place. Clickbait. Unless there is an official statement, which generally only happens if the transfer goes through - then it's all just rumours.

pretty much every reputable sports reporter is saying Ox has turned down Chelsea and wants to go to Liverpool (for now at least). It's funny looking at Chelsea fans throwing tantrums about it on social media, mainly because he wants to join the club they have so desperately tried, and failed, to create a rivalry with.

So apparently the Mbappe deal is a one-year loan, with PSG then obliged to pay Monaco €180m. I wish the kid all the best, but it would be pretty damn funny if last season proved a bit of a flash in the pan, with PSG still obliged to pay that next summer.

Same goes for the Liverpool deal for Keita, although in that case that allows Leipzig to hold on to him for another year. With Mbappe he will join PSG, for some reason Monaco just helping them out with FFP.

Was comparing the United and Liverpool Squads yesterday. Liverpool
have very little in the way of depth. Currently, would be relying upon
getting no injuries or suspensions

Goalkeeper
Those highlighted decent at best

Danny Ward
Loris Karius
Simon Mignolet

Kamil Grabara

Defender
Again decent at best i.e. for every good game
they have, there will be one equally bad...

Nathaniel Clyne
Jon Flanagan
Dejan Lovren
Mamadou Sakho
Joe Gomez
Ragnar Klavan
Alberto Moreno
Andrew Robertson
Joel Matip
Trent Alexander-Arnold

Midfielder
James Milner - decent enough
Jordan Henderson - genuinely can't assess properly, i don't think he's that good
Marko Grujic
Sadio Mane good
Emre Can - decent enough (would he have displaced Gerrard or Alonso...nope!)
Ryan Kent
Oviemuno Ejaria
Ben Woodburn
Harry Wilson

Attacking Midfielder
Georginio Wijnaldum - decent enough
Philippe Coutinho - good
Mohamed Salah....wait and see, good signs tho!
Adam Lallana - decent enough
Lazar Markovic

Striker
Roberto Firmino - decent enough (pos underating him)
Daniel Sturridge...good spell with Suarez been injured since
Divock Origi
Danny Ings
Dominic Solanke
Rhian Brewster
