Silver Fox Kind of false off after the first one most days doesn't it?

Will they be able to keep Fernandes when a big club* comes in for him? Pogba must h8 him, any chance of a move away to the likes of Real Madrid have been scuppered as he gets out played by his team mate every week.

Dear me, that's some pay deal.

Can't help but feel like Liverpool have stood still so far this summer, with Chelsea and United improving quite obviously (and United's unbeaten run going under the radar a little). Stood still at a very high bar, of course - but there are a few rumours that Klopp doesn't quite agree with FSG's continued tight approach on transfers. Liverpool essentially missed out on Werner for the sake of £15-20m, and the Thiago deal might go the same way. 'Curtis Jones is our Jadon Sancho' might one day prove to have some merit, but it doesn't look that way right now.

Reckon Kemar Roofe to Rangers could be good for them. Was one of the better Championship players a couple of years ago

Yep, good shrewd signing for them, much like Scott Sinclair was for Celtic.

Just looked at his goalscoring ratio. Its fucjing abysmal. Suppose in the Scottish Sunday league he'll get a few.

He isn't an out and out goalscorer though, that's not his game. He was a centre midfielder until his 2nd season with Leeds when they sold Chris Woods to Burnley and they tried out pushing Roofe further up, and he looked very decent in a No.10 /occasional winger role scoring a fair few goals.

After signing Ross Doohan from Celtic, Ross County now have three keepers competing for the No.1 spot who are all called Ross (he joins Ross Laidlaw and Ross Munro).

Have an inkling that Liverpool will struggle a bit this season, with, as you say, improving signs from the likes of Chelsea, Spurs and United

Think it happened to Klopp one season at Dortmund, seemed to just collapse one season

A few reports this morning that the clubs are £40m apart on the transfer fee - United offering £80m and Dortmund not budging from £120m.

Hate the way journalists seem to have recently added 'advanced talks' as an actual secondary stage of trying to sign a player to the point it is announced with a whole new round of headlines and articles.

Not sure that Man Utd and Chelsea are improving as teams when all they are doing is signing attacking players.
Both still are weak at the back IMHO and should probably concentrate on that area for new signings if they are going to bridge the enormous gap to Liverpool and City.

As for Liverpool, most bases are covered and perhaps a back-up central striker is really the one area that I feel needs attention-shame about Werner but I expect he needed more reassurance of a starting place which would not be the case at Liverpool.

Assuming you didn't have the funds for Werner.

You don't really have back-up for defenders or attackers that are off the same quality

Did you pay in installments for VVD and the keeper? Guessing that's why you haven't really spent much since

I'm kinda hoping Utd do that and get:

- Sancho,
- someone like Grealish who starts on the bench and...
- a left-footed* CB been linked with Gabrielle
- Tuanzabe fit

In terms of CB's if you combined Utd and LFC it would be VVD and then pick any of the others...much of a muchness
