Pepe the Horseman Derby have signed Colin Kazim-Richards, who is apparently still playing A quick look at wiki tells me he's been doing a little tour of Latin America over the last four years.

Desperate stuff from Derby. He's the sort of player I worry about us signing.

Another one in the "I can't believe he's only..." (28) category.

From Despair To Where? Didn't Fulham just sign him for £10m in the summer?
They really are shit at this "Signing players for the Premier League" malarkey.

From Despair To Where? Still, £10m is an insane fee to agree either in the Championship or for a player that usually gets shipped back to the Championship the moment his team gets promoted.

Happened once, at Leicester. He played 65 times for Brighton in the PL in two seasons.
The maths aren't awful. Knockaert was signed on an obligation to buy for £10m if he made 30 Fulham appearances. He made 46. So it was a £10m purchase of a player to help them get to the PL. If last season had gone to shit he wouldn't have played so much.
He's just one of those in between players - needs to be at his absolute best to be a factor in the PL (as he often was at Brighton), and when he hits that best in the Championship he looks obviously too good for the league.
