A few Rodwell facts - he's still only 28, crazily. Only once has he played more than 28 games, in all competitions, in a season. And he's played 235 times in his career, of which only 28 have come outside of the Premier League, which is nuts, I thought he'd been floating around the Championship for years.

I remember reading an article a few years back when Rodwell was looking to leave Man City and it basically said that Everton were happy enough to sell this 'next big thing' as he had f*cked his hamstrings an incredible amount of times already so they knew he would never fulfil his potential and would spend much his career out injured

Cardiff will be banned from making any transfers for 18 months if they fail to pay the first installment of Emiliano Sala's transfer fee within 45 days

Be nice of them just to pay it so that the whole situation can just be laid to rest. Must be really crap for Sala's family to see his name out there everyday as part of a financial dispute.

Typically good BVB signing. Can make an impact immediately and will likely go for 4 or 5x the fee in 2 or 3 years time.

Amazed he went for that cheap and I’m amazed a premier league team didn’t get in there first.

That was the buyout clause in his contract. His contract was signed with Salzburg only a few days after his 18th birthday before his goalscoring exploits were seen at a decent club level (shots fired at Molde!) and before the 9 goals in one game.

Red Bull have taken a big clip to their wings with the flying Minamino and Haaland gone.

At this stage in his career, why would Madison want to take a step backwards?

Bless Manchester United thinking they can still bully smaller clubs into parting with their better players for cheap.

Seems Arsenal fans are laughing at Spurs because Harry Winks might be off to City, despite the fact they've spent the last couple of years goading Spurs fans and saying he's shite. Football fandom really puzzles me...

I like Harry Winks, tidy player. Needs to play a more advanced role though.

United was the rumour with him wasn't it? Didn't see City linked.
