I know it's been said, but this transfer window is nuts, isn't it?

Monaco holding out for £90m for Thomas Lemar, that would be the third highest fee in history, and more than Paul Pogba, who moved just over a year ago having amassed around 40 France caps and won every domestic trophy at Juventus. Lemar has 5 caps and 1.5 seasons of football behind him. :|

And City apparently bidding £60m for Alexis Sanchez, who has one year left on his contract. It wasn't long ago that clubs were accepting £10m or so for players in that situation.

Great signing, proper coup that.

Sky saying that one reason they got him is because they are not playing European football.

Paul Clement has contacts at Bayern, no?

Yes, that was the other thing they said, but apparently Bayern don't want him playing against them...which is fair enough.

Burnley have signed Nahki Wells, and that West Ham player that had a medical yesterday without permission, is apparently going to the races before going to meet WH who say he is definitely not for sale.

I guess I picked a good day to catch up on paperwork with Sky on in the background...and #BushWatch, natch.

Have you no idea how expensive it is to launder funds these days?

Those off-shore bank accounts don't fund themselves you know.

The Lemar saga is nuts. No doubt the boy has potential, but £90m?

One claim now that Monaco have accepted a £90m offer from Arsenal, who will let Sanchez go to City if the deal goes through. However Lemar has told Monaco that he wants to move to Liverpool, who have had a £75m bid rejected, and don't plan to go back with another.

Drinkwater to Chelsea, deal agreed. Guardian says that Chelsea's dream midfield duo of Leicester City's title-winners will become a reality - if Leicester can find a replacement before the window closes.

David Thompson and Jamie Carragher are saying van Dijk will be a Liverpool player tomorrow

Arsenal have reportedly agreed to pay £92m for Lemar. Be funny if Liverpool went back and matched that....

brilliant player. As said on the Aluko thread I would have preferred Jota. Just surprised he didn't go to a PL club.

I wonder what our good friend Jim deffonotKes thinks of this. Even though he is not a Chelsea fan at all because he has the word Royal in his username.

It seems that most of Chelsea transfer targets seem to be turning them down and moving onto good teams elsewhere.

Borussia Dortmund have spent 10 million on 17 year old Jaden Sancho from Man City

If you have never heard of him it's because he has never ever played a first team game. Apparently wanted to have first team football so refused to train and just stopped going to try and force a move and man city said he cannot go anywhere in england. Wtf is wrong with prima donna youngsters

With everyone in football seemingly telling Chelsea to do one today they now appear to have decided to paaaaaaaniiiiic buy Drinkwater. They have decided to try and get him so late in the window they are asking for an extension beyond 11:00pm.
