Good win for Bracknell there, sets up 2nd round tie at home to NLS side Havant & Waterlooville (11th in the NLS but with games in hand) next Tuesday. Probably be the end of Bracknell’s “run” but they will hopefully give a good account of themselves.

If a miracle did occur though then Bracknell would face a home tie v Billericay or Braintree in round 3

A friendly this week

Windsor 0-7 Ascot.

Seriously hard to muster enthusiasm to go and watch this shambles lose again at Reading “City”.

Yeah....! :D Very unexpected win that.

We’ve got that twat Charlie Samuels playing for us again now on loan from Marlow.

Too good for our level but he never stays anywhere long. Thought he’d burned his bridges with Windsor 4 or 5 years ago but he appeared on the team sheet much to everyone’s surprise - and scored of course.

Still, at least he’ll raise our game and keep us clear of the relegation zone if he stays, so I suppose I should celebrate his arrival.

Went to Wokingham 4-0 Woodley United
Same bloke (No.10 – didn’t have a team sheet) scored all 4 and didn’t take the pen (that was missed) shortly after the 4th. He’ll be regretting that, probably never get the chance to score 5 again.
Hosts severely depleted by all accounts but won at a canter.
Gate of 110 certainly helped with lost bar takings.

Royals and Racers Bracknell 1-1 at HT but down to 10 men.

Was a decent game that was ruined by an overly officious and incompentant match official.

Thought Bracknell did really well.
