Tredder It's probably not a market that will be priced up, but Hampton will get relegated this season.

Blue Square will offer some odds surely as league sponsor?

LUX were you at Watford away? Were you on the train from Euston with a bird and a couple of mates, quite early? May have seen you.

I was at the tail-end of a large group travelling from Euston, Lux, including the ever-noisy TROLI. I was a bit subdued myself as I was feeling a bit under the weather on the day. Reading's performance was sicker than I was, mind.

AthleticoSpizz 400+ at a Cray Wanderers 3-0 home friendly victory against Kent County League minnows Crockenhill, inexplicably, thats 3 times the crowd at Windsor and Eton in their promotion season :?:

That's because W&E are a mickey-mouse little club and the second biggest in the Royal Borough, perhaps even third biggest behind Holyport 8)

Loser have never had a following....their fan still goes on about how they almost played Man Utd in the FA Cup! Anyway back to Loser and their following I went to an FAC3QR game between Maidenhead and W&E a couple of years back where there was almost 500 at York Road with about 5 away fans! Its 10 minutes away!!

Barry the bird boggler When will the Hellenic get round to issuing their fixtures?

.... I'd imagine they'll have to wait for the Zamaretto to issue theirs - see above due sometime next midweek - least I think that is the norm.
- not entirely sure why - probably down to sorting out ground availability for the Reserves of which there are about half a doz. and the odd 'Groundshare' - actually I think I only counted two involving Hellenic clubs at Southern League grounds - Oxford City Nomads and Old Woodstock (who've just moved in with North Leigh)

The Wessex League have issued August's fixtures but may have jumped the gun somewhat cos they've published a full set of matches for the 14th - which should be the first (Extra-Preliminary) round of the FA Cup - so everything will have to be changed for those clubs who have entered - well more than half I'd suspect!

...here's an updated list of RTFCs pre-season by the way.

Sat 17/07 Calne Town v Reading Town
Sat 24/07 London Colney v Reading Town
Fri 30/07 Reading Town v Hungerford Town
Tue 03/08 Reading Town v Hartley Wintney (7:45)
Thu 05/08 Newbury v Reading Town

Find it staggering the amount of money Crawley is throwing at it this year, considering they have only just cleared a million pound plus debt!!

Sergio Torres (once of Basingstoke) has now gone there for 100k, and wont be cheap wages. This is on top of other top signings for a non league club of Pablo Mills and Craig Mcallister amongst others.

Grays Athletic have been refused entry to the Ryman Premier despite the FA agreeing it on appeal. They have apparently now back tracked and sided with the League who would have been forced to have 23 teams if this had gone ahead. Looks like the Essex Senior League for them now (unless they go bust first - perhaps I should have put this in the clubs in financial crisis thread!).

If you were on the tube changing at Edgware Road then maybe you saw floyd and I get on a different carriage to the majority of the group who were very vociferous in informing anyone within the vicinity of west London and Middlesex it was my birthday on the platform. This resulted in me having birthday wishes granted by some random fitty from Bolton who I had my picture taken with. Floyd took the picture.

Ring any bells?

Dirk Gently If anyone's interested, this is the centenary season of the Fizzers, and next Friday they're celebrating with a match at Bottom Meadow vs an AFC Wimbledon XI. Appropriate, as Sandhurst were the first League opponents of AFCW.

I keep seeing the notices when I walk the dog past the ground, bloody typical though the only good friendly that Sandhurst have and Im stuck here in China

paultheroyal Want some easy money then lump on Salisbury in Zameretto league. Kept most of their players, added a few more and technically finished sixth in conference. Saying that there are some quality match ups in this division next season.

was saying that to my Dad last night - should be easy enough for them to keep hold of a lot of players as a move to a Conference club would entail either a house move or loads of driving - and there's not a great amount of BSS clubs round there either. Although Tubbs is on the verge of joining Crawley.

I don't know about the rest of you but I have not been so excited about the start of a season as much since 06/07. I am really looking forward to a season of non-league football to restore my faith in the game. So, expect to see me at Windsor, Ascot, Bracknell, Binfield and maybe even Woking. Not sure I would want to go to Maidenhead though as it is a real dump of a place

Even Chobham in the CCL is tempting on the way home from work :D
