I think he was turning out for Basingstoke earlier in the season. Assume he left there when his old man left then and is now trying to make his way back up the pyramid after his injury problems.

One of many I should imagine but Windsor’s game at Brimscombe and Thrupp has been called off already due to waterlogged pitch.

...indeed too many to keep up with - anyone thinking of setting out anywhere round here needs to check first - though my first trawl through would suggest the worst within range, is in the SE and up in the South and East Midlands

...only Andover New St for certain declared OFF locally when I last looked - might try an do an update before I set off somewhere still above the tidemark!

...UPDATE other Hellenic games called off this AM are now much nearer home:

Easington (Banbury)
Longlevens
Reading City

...and some of the early KOs in D2 e.g. Chalfont Wasps, Letcombe, Stokenchurch, Taplow etc - which might suggest some of the local 15:00 KOs in Prem & both D1s could be in some doubt? :|

Think I'm trying to head to the western edges of this league - but I've got an evening booking of my own; with a certain well-preserved musical legend back at the Hexagon 8) ..... so can't go too far.

Dorking Wanderers Res 1-1 Cove
FC Deportivo Galicia 4-1 Fleet Spurs
Jersey Bulls 2-0 Epsom & Ewell – att 661 – 15 wins from 15 - though this was described by the home twitter as very close - took a late og to settle the game
Walton & Hersham 3-4 Bedfont & Feltham

HELLP
Binfield 1-2 Fairford Townatt 167 sees Moles slip to defeat against 2nd placed Town – Binfield missed a late pen with the score at 1-1 and conceded the winner on 89’
- might haul over to RWBT after work Tuesday night, to see if there's a reason Fairford are flying so high this season - they are the visitors ; that's if I have the oomph and none of my dear family have pinched my car  - Missus currently waiting for her new one to be delivered. I might have to hide my keys!

Burnham 0-1 Lydney Town
Flackwell Heath 1-2 ShrivenhamShrivy gaining momentum again - much as they did to great effect from about this time last season, move up to 3rd with 5 straight wins
Holmer Green 3-4 Tuffley Rovers – Holmer Green visit Scours on tonight (Monday) – wet weather seems to have relented - current forecast is for it to stay dry, so hopefully less swamp-like down there than Saturday.

Virginia Water 3-2 Bishops Cleeve
HELL1E
Holyport 3-0- Woodley United
Long Crendon
1-2 Milton United
Marlow United
1-1 Chalvey Sports

- In the Western section Malvern Town’s league game and only the 2nd match staged at their re-furbed ground vs Hereford Pegasus, attracted a crowd of 232 the game ended 3-3

- I took a slightly shorter trip up beyond Oxford and Chipping Norton and saw the same score-line at Moreton Rangers v Hereford Lads Club
– high drama late on; the hosts took a very early lead but lost dominance to their more accomplished visitors - only waking up in the last 10’ when trailing 1-2. Put some pressure on - immediately conceded again – grabbed one back – missed a pen then pinched a point with a 95’ goal
- Ground wasn’t much to shout about – cozy enough clubhouse but no draught beer indeed no bitter at all – and no Hot Food.

B&B Senior Trophy
Abingdon Utd 4-1 Newbury - at about the 5th attempt!
Penn & Tylers Green 3-0 Risborough Rangers - rare defeat for Rangers – who remain unbeaten after 10 in the league. P&TG relishing their return home so far.

WESSP
Fareham Town 5-1 Tadley Calleva
Fleet Town
0-3 Portland United
Horndean 4-1 Alresford Town a 3rd defeat for leaders Town and another heavy one – still head 2nd placed Portand by 5 points – host lowly Shaftesbury on Tue night whilst their rivals are at home to 2nd bottom club Solent Uni
WESS1
Petersfield Town 3-0 Totton & Eling
Pewsey Vale 1-3 Andover Town
Ringwood Town 0-3 Alton
Whitchurch United 0-3 Romsey Town – poor result for JamBoys against strugglers

Windsor 1-2 Burnham

Another really poor performance. 5 losses in a row. This team (and management) is heading for a relegation battle. New manager Mark Cooper has brought in loads of players. Most of them have been / are rubbish.

Not sure if you made it, but I took this game in on Tuesday night. 1-0 win for the visitors but they looked much the better side with some tidy players and should have been 3 up by HT.

The venue isn't much to right home about. Just a posh version of ibis. Bit cold as well, must be absolutely freezing there when the wind blows

.... if you think that is cold ; try Highworth between about now and mid-April :P

.... and yes I braved it but getting out of 'ding proved as big a ba££Sache as ever - jn11 was a real snorter - eventually got down off the slip road and wondered why the inside lane had stopped completely - a small saloon had almost got itself merged sideways under the front of a very big Lorry. Mercifully the speed of the traffic there hopefully prevented any lasting damage to life or limb. The car didn't look too badly off either.

Agreed that Fairford looked sharp first half but RWBT upped their efforts after the break and started to threaten more and I thought looked likely to edge it . The previously prolific 'TJ 'returning to familiar pastures was seeing a lot of the ball but not linking up too well with his strike partners. The big fella they brought on to replace him looked more potent but was introduced too late to make an impact. The daft Red card effectively hamstrung the chance of a comeback too.

The goal when it came was slightly against the run of play though a decent build-up and finish. Reports suggest they were also fortunate to edge the game at Binfield too - but good teams are often lucky teams. They aren't the typical Hellenic contenders - favouring smaller more mobile forwards. I suspect they might get 'out-powered ' by some of the bigger sides - especially on surfaces that might break up slightly in the next couple of months.

....and the club interior is certainly quite plush - shame it was Doom Bar or Wolf Rock though.....

- sad news that Pewsey Vale have announced they are withdrawing from the Wessex League with immediate effect. Hence their D1 game tomorrow @ Bemerton is cancelled.
They still have a Wilts League Cup game v Corsham Reserves.
Does seem as if geography is against them in that set-up @ STEP05. Hopefully be back in some senior form soon - but most likely to stay next season in the Wilts. The current Wilts league side will carry on - the 'Reserve' string are bottom with 0 points from 8 games. Presumably any first team players remaining at the club will bolster this outfit from now on?

Our PLAN A was called off very early this midweek :| - had intended to watch some ritual slaughter in Hellenic One West at Hereford Lads Club; where the hapless Stundents from New College Swindon were due to visit.
However some 'technicalities' with the set-up at the home sides Widemarsh Common ground, have put paid to this fixture, as it did to their previous scheduled home game v VERY close rivals Pegasus.
I'm assuming it's something akin to the long-running issues Hayes & Yeading suffered with safety licences or electrical compliance with the new lights etc.
HLC are next due to host Shortwood on the 7th Dec and of course have a somewhat lop-sided fixture schedule, yet to play at home this season :?
We could still stay west, in the same Division, and take in Wellington (that's north of Hereford not the Somerset one) v Tytherington Rocks or slightly closer home for Bourton v Thornbury - though they also have some lighting issues and are starting at 14:15 tomorrow.

Maidenhead United 2-3 Woking

SLP-C
Banbury United 2-1 Alvechurch
Kings Langley 2-2 Needham Market
SLP-S
Chesham United {SIX} 6-3 Dorchester Town – ‘Generals’ stay top though 2nd/3rd Tivvy & Truro both registered away wins and have a game in hand
Metropolitan Police 1-2 Farnborough
Walton Casuals
0-3 Poole Town
SL1-C
Barton Rovers 2-4 Aylesbury United – ‘Ducks’ up to 3rd
Coleshill Town 1-3 Kidlington
Daventry Town 2-3 Thame United
St Neots Town 5-0 Wantage Town:cry: ‘Freds’ woes unending; now -66 GD from 14 games.
– their opponents were the side immediately above them too.

SL1-S
Basingstoke Town 1-3 Bristol Manor Farm
Cirencester Town 3-4 Winchester City most of the action in the 2nd half
– City led 1-0 at HT – increased their lead early on but were pegged back to 2-2 around the hour mark - only to get two more very late either side of a Ciren consolation on 93’ – Goals from Carr(2) Hayward and Balmer on 95’ – host Larkhall on Tuesday

Evesham United 2-4 Thatcham Town 'Kingfishers' still 2nd but have 4 games in hand on leaders Frome who were held 2-2 @ Moneyfields. They raced into a three goals lead inside the first quarter of the match Tooze, Jeacock & Barcelos the scorers. Evesham reduced the deficit to one by the last 10’ only for Tooze to settle it on 87’

Mangotsfield United 0-0 Highworth Town

IL1-SC
Barking 4-3 Bracknell Townwas 1-1 at half-time, then the home side notched a three goal blitz in 8’ going in to the last 20’.
– Minhas (with his 2nd) and Bowerman clawed two back in the last 10’ but couldn’t manage another to share the spoils.

Bedfont Sports 3-2 FC Romania
Hanwell Town 0-1 Ashford Town (Middx) real shock here as leaders upset by bottom club who now climb above FC Romania. Hanwell still have four point lead over Ware, Uxbridge and Harlow
Marlow 1-1 Harlow Town
Northwood 1-6 Hertford Town
South Park 0-1 Uxbridge
Waltham Abbey 2-0 Chertsey Town Curfews slip back to 5th

Hanworth Villa 0-1 Banstead Athletic
Knaphill 4-1 Badshot Lea
Molesey 1-0 Camberley Town
Raynes Park Vale 1-4 Abbey Rangers
Sheerwater
4-2 Ascot United - bit of a jolt for the leaders – especially as Sheers had been on a poor run themselves – 6 straight defeats coming into this game.
– I suspect looking at the line-up the ‘Yellamen’ might have rested a couple for their big Vase trip to Kent next w/e – or just had some unavailability issues?
- Lead cut to three points with CWU in reach as they have a game in hand.

Southall 2-2 Frimley Green
CCL1
Bedfont & Feltham 1-1 Godalming Town
Epsom & Ewell 2-2 Dorking Wanderers Res
Farnham Town 0-1 AFC Hayes

Brackley Town Saints P-P Fairford Town – ‘Seniors’ were drawn at home in the Trophy
Brimscombe & Thrupp 4-4 Ardley United
Longlevens AFC {SIX} 6-2 Burnham
Lydney Town P-P Easington Sports
Royal Wootton Bassett Town 2-1 Flackwell Heath thought RWBT were better than their position would suggest when I saw them in midweek – still down in 17th but dragged Heathens back to 15th. I'd expect both to start hauling themselves up the table before long.
Shrivenham A-A Holmer Green - Abandoned Floodlight failure at H/T with Shrivy leading 3-0
Tuffley Rovers 2-2 Reading City
Westfields 3-0 Virginia Water leaders continue to plough away from the pack now - 8 points clear
HELL1E
AFC Aldermaston 3-2 Penn & Tylers Green – first win in while for Aldermaston, since they shifted out the (ex-Highmoor) management team a month or so back?
Chalvey Sports 1-3 Didcot Town Development
Milton United {SEVEN} 7-0 Langley – United up to 3rd but have played more than all around them and lost 6 from 15 games.
Woodley United 1-6 {SIX) Wokingham & Emmbrook 'Sumas' 2nd 6-1 away win in a week - now up to 5th - surprised that the Scours Swamp allowed the game to continue - expect landlords City's scheduled home Premier fixture with Brackley Saints tomorrow night (Monday) will be in some doubt already?

…there were a few hastily re-arranged County Cup ties his w/e too
B&B Trophy
Mortimer 3-1 Abingdon United
Wallingford Town 0-1 Buckingham Athletic

- made it in time to a very soggy and rain-swept Rissington Rd for:

Bourton Rovers 2-3 Thornbury Town
- winless Rovers, 2nd bottom, battled hard and deserved something out of the game but the visitors had too much up front for them and edged it - thereby taking over top spot from Malmesbury who were washed out.
- fairly simple ground in a very twee tourist-trap village - tagged 'Venice of the Cotswolds' - NE of Cirencester/NW of Witney.
In fact their lights which were giving them some concern earlier in the week, hence the earlier KO, were switched on and functioned OK 2nd half.

WESS1
Andover Town 1-1 East Cowes Victoria
Fawley AFC 1-1 Petersfield Town
