Zammo Bought a Didcot Town season ticket last summer and boy, are we being entertained !!

..... indeed 95' leveller against the leaders :D

... Missed the chance of getting to the Loop before the end of this season - Diddy have only got 7 league games left and none of them midweek :|

..... unless I fancy watching the Dev side vs Woodley early next month.....

Shame Nottingham Forest can't follow suit

ex-chairman looking to launch a rescue package, apparently the winding-up order was the result of non payment of a debt less than £8k.

Not much shadenfreude on here about our old friends from the Rec staring relegation in the face as they now find themselves 10 points from safety in the National League. Tehy have a couple of 6-pointers coming upp against Borehamwood and Dover with a possible humdinger on the last day at second bottom Maidstone. Lovely stuff.

All the bottom four (indeed bottom six) in the NL are southerners so Gloucester City, if they survive in National League South, will almost certainly be bounced back to National League North where they were a couple of years ago. Sadly, it looks like they won't be enjoying a visit from FCUM's 'interesting' travelling support - they're going down by the look of it.

Going to see the Kent derby (stones vs ebbsfleet) a time the weekend, should be good game. All or nothing for Maidstone now

Presumably Oxford City will get moved back to the NLN as well if the bottom four in NL remains completely southern.

Anyone's guess what the FA decide if Gloucester City are relegated from NLS.

Hayes & Yeading United 1-0 Bracknell Town att 416
Hertford Town 2-2 Marlow - att 212 ‘Blues’ led early on, were pegged back – re-took the lead on 85 (Mealing) only for Hertford, under new management, to level on 96’

- Made it to the outskirts of/suburbia between, Basildon and Sarfend for :-
ISTHMIAN ONE North: Bowers & Pitsea {NINE} 9-0 Barking – didn’t see this coming – visitors were in eighth and we’d seen them win comfortably, 4-0 away on our last trip over this way – up at Basildon.
- Though it was easy to see why B&P are streets clear at the top of this division. Will be an interesting clash next year if either or both of Hayes/Bracknell make it up into the Premier with them.
- also have a 3G surface and plenty of scope to improve the ground - though it is tucked away on a narrow-roaded cul de sac bound estate, not a million miles in aspect from our own dear Whitley.

Walton Casuals
2-3 Dorchester Town
Weymouth 2-1 Swindon Supermarine
SL1-C
Aylesbury United 1-4 Bedford Town
Berkhamsted 5-1 Didcot Towndidn’t expect this either – ‘Berko’ , who played much of this game with 10 men, are chasing a PO spot themselves – Diddy stay in 4th for the moment but wins for Sutton C’field, Coleshill and Bedford close the gap

Bromsgrove Sporting 2-1 Corby att 1576 - 1st vs 3rd and the crowd were comfortably bigger than the rest of the divisions' attendances for the day added together! Indeed it was several hundred greater than any match across this league and all of STEP03/04 save South Shields who brought in a couple of hundred more for their Northern Premier clash vs Hyde.

Dunstable Town 0-3 Kidlington
Kempston Rovers 3-0 Aylesbury

Kensington Borough 1-0 Tooting Bec

HELLP
Brimscombe & Thrupp 0-0 Wantage Town att 157 ‘Freds’ stay 5 points behind leaders B&T but have 3 games in hand. Hosts only have 2 games left : away at Brackley Saints and at home to strugglers Ab Utd. This last game KOs at 18:00 on Easter SUNDAY, as they are part of the Hellenic Hop over the BH w/e.
Wantage are scheduled to play their 5 remaining league games in April – finishing at Stag Meadow (vs Windsor) on the 22nd (Easter Monday)

Fairford Town 1-2 Binfield

Shrivenham
3-0 Ardley United
Tuffley Rovers 1-1 Flackwell Heath
HELL1E
Chalvey Sports 1-2 Milton United
Chinnor
2-3 Penn & Tylers Greenthis defeat ensures Chinnor will finish bottom – they may even face relegation but the numbers are in their favour. I’m sure the Hellenic will stick with creating a larger STEP06 league and probably promote anyone eligible from Div 2 (currently only Langley – unless they want to advance more reserve/DEV sides) without sending anyone the other way.

Didcot Town Development 0-1 AFC Aldermaston
Holyport 7-0 Abingdon Town - that’s an aggregate 14-0 in ‘port’s favour against the sorry Abbots over two weekends
Wallingford Town 0-3 Burnham Blues have two games left need another win to secure the title. They travel to the Loop to play Diddy ‘Dev’ on Sat week and finish at home to bottom side Chinnor.

Woodley United 1-2 Thame Rangers
HELL2E
Stokenchurch 2-1 Taplow United

WESSP
Andover New Street 2-3 Brockenhurst
Hamble Club 2-1 Tadley Calleva
Sholing 0-1 Alresford Town att 172 – remarkably this was Sholing’s first league defeat of the season – with two games in hand, they are still 19 points clear of 2nd placed Horndean– who also lost at Shaftesbury.
This was their 5th game in 9 days..... and they play their remaining 9 league games in the next four weeks.
A win would have given them the title; they still have two games this month to secure it before they travel to Horndean on the 2nd April. They(Sholing) may be Champions by then - if Horndean slip up in the meantime at Team Solent or Tadley – having picked up the necessary three points, either with a win at Hamble Club, next Wed or at home to relegation-threatened Bemerton on the 30th.

WESS1
Andover Town 1-3 Ringwood Town
Laverstock & Ford 3-0 Alton
Petersfield Town
2-0 Totton & Eling
Whitchurch United 3-3 East Cowes Victoria

Old Man Andrews .

Two utterly monumental games in the National League Premier tonight - you would have to think this is the last roll of the dice for Aldershot? Would a Maidenhead win be enough to secure survival? Which way do you see the following two games going, OMA?

Barnet v Aldershot Town
Maidenhead United v Havant and Waterlooville

Thanks John.

Barnet v Aldershot - End of the line for Aldershot, I think Barnet will have too much for them and pretty much kill off any chance of Aldershot staying up. 3-1 home win.

Maidenhead v Havant and Waterlooville - Maidenhead have been playing much better in 2019 and are punching well above their weight in the division, good on them I say. I see a 2-1 home win.

Hat's off to you.

Is that it for Aldershot then? Where do they go from here? Some distasteful scenes at the end by all accounts with George Elokobi playing peacemaker between players and some quite understandably disgruntled fans. A sour, difficult and unsightly end to a poor season in North London.

Maidenhead now up to 18th and a win would put both Chesterfield and Barnet, relegated from the FL last season, behind them.

Yeah Aldershot are done. I feel sorry for their youth teams which will no doubt be folded in cost saving measures.

Winchester City 3-0 Fleet Town

Haven't been for a while and was hoping for a bit more after some big wins. I'm surprised Fleet are bottom, they didn't look that bad. One of those frustrating games when we were on top, but couldn't find the final pass. As soon as we scored the first goal, things started coming together though.

Winch have picked up 27 points from our last 10 games, goals for 32, against 5. The form tables all look very pretty, and unless something goes badly wrong, we should make the play offs now. 8)

Windsor 1-0 Lydney Town

Dan Roberts with the goal (of course) in what was a reasonably comfortable win despite the closeness of the scoreline.

When Roberts goes to Slough who will score the goals?

That question may have been answered today. 18yo Jack Gibson came on with about 20mins left and looked like he has something. Strong, quick, battling and definitely not overawed playing men’s football for the first time. He has scored 9 goals in the last 2 U18s games so he can stick it in the net when the opportunity presents. I look forward to seeing him again.

Molesey 2-0 Waltham Abbey
Northwood 0-2 Egham Town – ‘Sarnies’ first win, indeed their first points, away from home this season – they are all but down anyway. They languish 12 points adrift with only 6 left to play. Currently looks as if Molesey will accompany them on the trip back down to the CCL, with Sutton Common Rovers coming in the opposite direction behind Chertsey?

Swindon Supermarine 2-1 Walton Casuals
Tiverton Town 1-2 Kings Langley
Wimborne Town 2-4 Basingstoke Town important win at fellow strugglers
SL1-C
AFC Dunstable 0-5 Peterborough Sports - leaders still tearing away at the top
Aylesbury 0-1 Yaxley
Bedford Town 3-1 Thame United
Coleshill Town 0-4 North Leigh – very surprising win at PO chasers – Nor Lye stay bottom though – still 6 points from safety with only 5 games remaining. I doubt they are too upset at the prospect of settling back into the relatively quiet back-waters of the Hellenic. They've found the recently enlarged footprint of the Southern League, crippling financially. Amazing that a village of barely 2,000 should have maintained a place at STEP04 for so long. (11 years now) and until last season never out of the top ten.

Street FC have resigned from the Southern League. They are 10th in the wonderfully named Evo-Stick Southern Division One South, and say there's no financial crises or ground upgrade issues, so it sounds odd. I assume it's effective at the end of this season, and results stand. (we've beaten them 5-0 and 2-0, so I hope so)

Guess they drop down to the Western League, whence they came.

Windsor 3-0 Brackley Town Saints

Possibly Windsor’s best performance of the season against promotion chasers BTS. We never really gave them a sniff.

Shame we presumably won’t have Dan Roberts next season as this squad is starting to look like potential challengers.
