Barry the bird boggler If nothing else the Polish quarter in East Berks can now feel more comfortable in supporting the club....

If they actually vacated West Reading and attended games we would need the 38,000 expansion done tomorrow.

Cywka has signed on at #readingfc until the end of the season from #dcfc on a free transfer

He's probably been told that if he performs well then he'll get a better contract at the end of the season.

Calculated gamble by RFC, and I'm excited by this one.

Simon's Church 5 month contract? :|

He needs to prove himself and earn a new deal. If anything I prefer that. In the summer there will, if TSI keep their promises, put in some money for what I would hope are better signings, so you don't want to hand this 'risk' a 3 year deal when he could be the next Brian Howard.

Exactly.

Cywka knows that he's lucky to get this chance, given that otherwise he was off back to Poland, and will be desperate to earn a new contract.

If he flops, we get shot in the summer.

Makes perfect sense.

And a 5 month contract is extremely low risk for the club. It is the Reading way!

Written into the contract that he gets a renewal if the takeover goes ahead?

It's still not a done deal, so we'd be right to be cautious about committing to pay players long term without knowing we've got new investment yet.

Yeah, wouldn't be suprised to see an increase of 2,000 or so next home game.

If this is the policy, then there is zero chance of getting someone like sharp or Rhodes.

This is Ian Royal saying this remember

The fact is, he is being released by Derby on a free for a reason - so may should we risk giving him a long term deal if what Clough says is right!?

I like the way he pushes people out of his way, we haven't had an obnoxious pusher for years. One thing we really lack is a big physical striker running around pushing people over.

I agree, pushing people over is a very underrated quality.
