The Rouge
NR_Royal Wouldn't mind seeing a 4-4-2 diamond. I think it would work best considering the number of players we have in each position. Leigertwood and Karacan can be interchangable.

--------------------------Federici------------------------

---Cummings------Pearce-------Gorkss------Harte---

-------------------Leigertwood/Karacan----------------------

----Kebe----------------------------------Mcanuff/HRK-----

------------------------ --Cywka------------------------

--------------Roberts------------Le Fondre/Church------

So you want Kebe to play narrow in midfield and not out on the flank? And you think 2 strikers + a midfield with Kebe, McAnuff/HRK and Cywka will not concede many goals? Forgive me if I sound disdainful and superior, but I am.

'greed.
Might as well just play Legs in defence, and McAnuff/HRK, Kebe and Cywka upfront and conceed ever having any chance in midfield.

Listen to Clough's interview

Wow you can't say that!!

Clough sounds like a right C UNT. Can see why Derby are sh1t with him in charge. A massive part of football is confidence and support!!

That's a shocking interview ... wow!

Wow - Impressively candid from Clough there. A true stream of conciousness with embarrased gaps by the interviewer.

That interview is very  Although it is Nigel "look who my dad is" Clough

Regardless of that I would still welcome him at Reading as I faith in BMcD's managerial miracle ability.

I think it ought to be noted in the Clough interview that he is being interviewed directly after the game and is clearly extremely angry that Derby gave away a late equalising goal because Cywka lost the ball 20 yards outside his own penalty area.

Clough is obviously fuming about it, as any manager would be. But his criticism of Cywka should perhaps be seen in that context.

The message to us is make sure he generally plays higher up the pitch.

One in the bag.

Now get a Roberts tied up and we have a bit more of a threat going forward.

An attacking mid is exactly what we need. Back to the 4-2-3-1 for us :?

A bit like Kebe giving the ball away and Cardiff scoring earlier this season. Players make mistakes and some time the mistake results in a goal being conceded. However the approach in dealing with the player between McD and Clough is poles apart.

As for Cywka, the Derby fans seem to rate him and that is good enough for me. It seem he is very good technically but not so good as doing the simple things. But to me, if you are looking for an attacking midfielder then it is the technical side and the willingness to try different things that is more important.

This is a guy who was trialled at Wigan and taken on. Good start.
He was offered an extension to his contract at Wigan. Good.
But he wanted to play. Good.
Fans rate him. Good.

I notice that Clough has other "misfits" including one Derby paid 450K for.

Sounds like that maybe Cloughie is a problem.

This is a typical RFC buy, and could turn out to be excellent.

Sounds like he might be a confidence player. What current Championship manager is good
at inspiring players and turning them into much better ones?

I'd see him in a role very similar to Hoolahan at Norwich who is a great little trickster who creates and scores goals playing in the hole behind a front one or two.

Lambert has left Hoolahan out of some of the more testing away games but Norwich always look better when Hoolahan is in the side. Guessing Cywka will be used similarly.

TBM Clough says he is a striker!

He is an attacking midfielder/striker which basically means he can play the role that we need someone for, and something that has been missing since Gylfi was sold.

This one cheers me up no end, MORE than some 3 Million signing.

A position we know we need filling, one that MIGHT not work, but also one
that might turn out to be a very astute signing.

(Looks to me that he's a very good player playing for a poor man-managing manager
and thus not having confidence.)

Could be the reason Clough thinks he's an idiot - small brain and all that. Personally I think his head is fine, and it's just a promising sign that he might have really broad shoulders.
