DOYLERSAROYALER
The Royal Zaha finally gone to united. 10mil rising to 15mil, a lot of money for someone unproven at this lol, can't help but think he would have benefited from joining a smaller club for a couple more seasons, instead on warming Man U bench

Manure saw his potential and paid big bucks ...shame Squeaky penny-pinched in the summer and didn't see the potential ....bloke could have been a real financial asset.....of which we dont have many.....

Two things:

1) When United (or any other big team) are involved, the price of the player increases. He wasn't worth £10m to us at the time we made any enquiry (if we actually did).

2) No one knows what Palace were asking, we may have been willing to put a bit more into the deal, but perhaps they wanted it all up front, whereas we wanted to structure the payments. Which is a very sensible thing to do, when you are talking about millions of pounds.

apparently we asked them how much they wanted, they told us, we made the offer at that level, and they upped the price.
no problem with withdrawing interest at that point.
plus 5-10 million pound players arent really in our budget, unless theyve proven their brilliance at the top level

In that case, we did the right thing in pulling out of the deal. Good luck to Zaha at Man U.

august 31st we agreed a fee with Church going the other way on loan for the season. We wanted Church to sign a new deal before going and he wouldn't, therefore we pulled out of the deal. Big error now
