£12m???????????

You should know not to believe what media sources claim to be the fee and wages. It always guess work unless a club confirms otherwise. Just look at Pogrebnyak ---> £65k a week...... No!! Half that. I would expect it's around the £6-7m mark and similar wages to that offered to Hoilett (rumoured to be £45k - allegedly out limit, plus various bonus')

I appreciate that it will be bonuses etc but to even consider Reading trying to pull of a deal like that even with AZ is something new for all of us.

ReadingFC News ‏@ReadingFC__News
Sky Bet have slashed #readingfc odds of signing Jermaine Defoe from #THFC from 10/1 to 3/1 this evening. Could it happen? Let's hope so.

If Defoe goes to Reading then that is an amazing coup for that tin pot club.

This would obviously be

a) immense
b) utter LOLz

So get the deal done, Hammond.

Do all these "put your house on it" claims actually have any foundation? So far the only 'evidence' this might be happening has been a few Tweets here and there.
