Rumour: Federici to Leeds

by maffff » 24 Jun 2013 11:16

Reported in todays Sun.

EDIT: Link to it on teamtalk: http://www.teamtalk.com/papertalk/87899 ... olan-swoop

Presumably to link up with Harte, Doyle, Hunt, Hunt, Mills, Le Fondre, Morrison and Robson-Kanu.

If they can't afford £1m for Morrison, then I doubt they'll shell out on Federici, would be a good move for all concerned though I'd imagine if we can keep McCarthy.

They already have a decent keeper.

How much do they need him?

Well you know federici is going to be thinking that he's not going to be first choice at Reading next season and would prefer a move... and we have Taylor and Lincoln as back up...

Paddy Kenny? Leeds fans seem to think he's shot and want him gone...

Hope it goes through. He wont want to stick around as anyone's number 2. He gave BM grief on a couple of occasions when he was dropped or not put back in the team as soon as he was fit. He's also a top earner here, so I'm more than happy to see the back of him in all honesty. Thanks for the effort, less so the bad attitude. We move on!

If we get a £1 mil bid, I'd accept it instantly. (Unless of course we can't guarantee McCarthy staying).

If we keep McCarthy, there's no need for Feds really, as Taylor is decent backup.

If he wants a lift I'll happily oblige. He needn't worry about paying for petrol either. Thanks for your efforts and (at times) quality displays, but cheerio.

Your missus can walk, though.

I find it hilarious that Leeds are being linked with all our rejects. They can have him.

Still think Feds is a top keeper, Leeds could do a lot worse.

Agreed. Unlucky not to be player of the season in our promotion year. Prone to a howler but when he's on form he's a very very good keeper.

What do you know that we don't? I wonder what the true picture is at Leeds...

If using that picture, it's disappointing that they couldn't get "well Fed" into the headline.

Wouldn't matter if they did. McD wouldn't spend it anyway. And if he did they'd probably end up with a bunch of Fae/Halford/Gunter/Blackman/Leigertwood's*.

*contrary to many Reading fans, I like Gunter and Ledge

Feds is a good keeper and should be at worst first-choice for a championship side.

If McArthy stays he's surely first choice (and ought to improve noticeably in a full season)

So letting Feds goes makes sense and might get us a million )and lower wages.

I would be a bit nervous tho' about the long-term quality of cover should Alex get injured.
