If we don't have a new owner in place no one will come in except for loans. Half the first team squad will go. Hope we can keep players like Guthrie, Williams and a few others, a spine for the kids to be introduced around.

Not bothered about ALF leaving to be honest.

Agree with no new owner in mid table will be a good season. Rebuild and develop over a season or two. If our kids are good we might challenge for the play offs in a couple of seasons.

in my opinion chris eagles is quality, but there is no way we can afford him in our current financial situation. i would love to have him here, but i suspect we wont bring any players in (maybe 1 or 2), but not the amount we need. I truly feel for adkins, he has been here over a season and hasnt gotten to bring in his type of players at all, even though he was promised money.

What happened with Chris Baird is the template for depression in my opinion. Everything about him leaving was wrong. He'd played well for us, we had a massive injury crisis in midfield and promoted Burnley thought he was good enough.

If we can't hold on to a player when everything screams that we need him, the chances of signing a right winger when we have a very clear starter in McCleary, plus Blackman, HRK and Drenthe in back-up is depressingly unrealistic. Add to that the fact that Bolton didn't re-sign him suggests that either

1. He's too big for his boots and thinks he's too good for this level - He won't want us
2. There's a problem i.e He's a oxf*rd - We don't want him
3. He's got huge wage demands - We can't afford him

As much as we'd like him here, the logic doesn't point that way.

If we were going to cash out on a player like Eagles, then I would much prefer we used it on Scott Sinclair who has spent the season festering in WBA reserves while on loan from City.

Not sure how many of them are confirmed as leaving on a free.
Agard might be a good signing. A 20 goal season in L1 this year, but still in the POs with Rotherham so more likely to sign a deal if promoted I would imagine.

If Rotherham don't go up, Agard would be a good signing - a young, fast striker, completely different to what we already have.
If by some miracle we have a bit of money to spend, and Peterborough stay down, I'd love us to sign Assombalonga - 33 goals this season

Considering Posh got 6/7m for Gayle, I'd imagine they'd want a similar amount for Assombalonga.

Quite, although from what I saw of him he looked like a more effective Pogrebnyak

If we did sign him what would his chant be?

'Do do doo Assomumblemumble'?
