Rumour - Fosu to Newcastle or Villa

This would piss me off. Looks a great talent and could save us a fortune in the transfer market next season.

Heard he handed in his transfer request after Bibbo got the boot.
Wouldn't be surprised to see a few more do the same over the next couple of weeks :(

A winger handed his transfer request in over a goalkeeping coach losing his job?

While possible, I can't help but think the two of them would have quite limited interactivity.

Going to go out on a limb here and suggest that Simons Church was taking the piss, given the amount of people on here who have lost their sh!t simply because a coach has been told he's no longer required....

Well, at least I hope that was the implication anyway.

Danny Williams wants to go back to Germany as well, could be a long summer.

Really? Where does it say that?

I wouldn't be too gutted - on bigger wages and while he's a decent player, I think we could get more for out money.

Just showing how easy it is to make up a rumour.

In that case, has Charles Watts done a Fordham, because he tweeted about this?

Would seem a somewhat bizarre move from Fosu. Decent chance of getting at least some first team football next season despite having seemingly been further from the first team than many of the U21s, only to look for a step up where he's got no chance of playing.

I'd still file him under prodigous talent that doesn't have the right mindset to make it very high though. More so after seeing him interviewed.

Fosu never got the opportunity to play or train with the 1st Team when NA was in charge. He didn't rate him
Don't think he had an attitude problem or anything like that so I am puzzled why now Reading are playing him. Saying that he probably wouldn't have played if Stacy wasn't injured.

Why do other clubs see something in our young Players and the more senior players, no ones seems interested in
play in the 1st Team ahead of them?

Good luck to him if it's true, better off.

No, this came up in the mirror I think. It definitely came up in a newspaper but not sure which one.

Here is the article below from May 11th

Yes it was the Mirror but it's inaccurate as Fosu is contracted until 2016

* VILLA and Newcastle are monitoring Reading winger Tarique Fosu-Henry, writes Adrian Kajumba.

The 19-year-old, who made his first-team debut for the Royals on the last day of the Championship season, is out of contract this summer.

Villa produce enough of their own youngsters without buying them from other clubs.

Reading isn't in France so that rules Newcastle out.

Good news. Another underperforming high earner who has too many injuries. It's no good being great on your day when you don't have nearly enough of those days.

I guess the big decision to make is whether he signs a new contract or not

He would be foolish to leave now, having only just broken into the team - join a club like Villa or Newcastle and he'll put his career back another year or so

Just one thing, isn't Fosu under contract until next summer?

Yes he is, but he signed it young so probably still a "youth" contract so not that much money in the grand scheme of football.

If they rate him then they should be offering him a contract until 2018 if I've worked out how they handle youth stuff here.. which seems to be contract them until 21 if progressing well and then release if not good enough for first team at that point.
