Nameless And gives us an object lesson in what happens if you peak too early.....
Calling our likely league position in June is always exposing yourself to a helping of egg on the face. We're now looking much more like a mid table side !
Although if we are relegated next season Ian will have perpetual bragging rights and will be able to feel very happy
I'd have thought the 'looking' is clear enough caveat that it's as of the way things were going then. New information = reconsider opinion.
Clarke's certainly doing much better with transfers than i expected. Still, it's highly debateable if we're stronger than laat season.
Quinn vs Jem / Guthrie / Chalobah - fair enough, stronger
McShane vs Pearce - could go either way but fine
Bond (and Al'Habsi) vs Fed and Andersen - assuming he signs I'd say stronger depth weaker first choice
Sa is obviously an improvement on no striker, but how much so.
Then we're arguably the same or weaker at RB, LB, LW, RW. Will the parts add up better this time... will we get more signings yet?
Things definity improving but I'd still be more minded to look down nervously than look up expectantly.
