Pepe the Horseman
genome Something niggling in the back of my mind that this might not happen. Who's to say we won't just reject the approach?

Surely no way back for him now.

Definitely. He has to go for even talking to them after the free hand he has been given at our club. There is little loyalty in football but this takes the biscuit. McGhee and, to a lesser extent, Pardew had to operate under stringent constraints, so at least they had a bit of justification for their actions.

Personally don't care if he goes. I think he was holding this squad back with poor tactics and poor selection.

Personally i think there are better options available that are currently out of work. Clarke has hardly made enough of an impact in the past 11 months to warrant someone having to pay compensation to get him, has he?

Apparently a press conference has been called at 9:30 with Clarke?

Oh well.

not sure the some within the club are that enamoured with him over recent weeks - tactics, team selection etc so maybe the thought of getting paid to get rid is attractive? shame though as team has great potential with key players back and just before the FFC game (ironically) we looked almost invincible!!

I keep hearing about the 'financial' backing he was given in the summer. He pretty much broke even on transfer business after the sale of Hector for £4m. Wage bill would have increased but not massively after all the departures including Pog.

He's still a oxf*rd though.

The biggest loss will be Chelsea connection.

This squad could finish top 6 without a oxf*rd manager. Just let them play, rather than having wingers who won't cross.

Gylfi about to sign as Player-Manager. Has paved the way by falling out with Monk.

Thats a good point, i wonder how he will get on using his connections at Chelsea when Fulham are their oldest of rivals.

I don't think people are bothered by the numbers or profit/loss, it's that he was given backing to reshape the squad as he saw fit, did so, and is pissing off at the first opportunity.

Are you taking account of all of the significant loan fees, signing on fees, agents fees, etc.?

How many teams have been promoted when they change managers mid-season?

Exactly. The fact that he has/wants to talk to them means he is not committed to us, despite being given great backing, and has to go.

Fair well Steve. We barely knew thee.

No more Sweaties in the managers seat please. That's all I ask. You just can't trust them. Though I'll make an exception for Moyes because that would be great. Doubting very much that he'd lower himself to us but then again no one likes being out of work at christmas.
