He's simply asking, apart from all the mistakes Al Habsi has made, when has he ever looked like a liability?

He's got a point, I mean look at Vydra's goals to games ratio if you discount all the games he's not scored in.

I'll humour you.

How many games have we been thrashed in due to AAH errors? Answer none. How many goals are we leaking in comparison to others around us - answer not a lot more.

In short, he isn't De Gea, he isn't Peter Schmeichel, but he is fine for what we need right now and the brainless comments about his fumbling are based on some unsupported (ie by evidence) prejudices.

And with that I am out.

It's simple folks.

AAH is overly prone to howlers.

He's dropped 2/3 clangers for us this season, and if he plays regularly for the rest of it, will probably drop 2/3 more. Other than that (rather significant flaw) he's actually a very good 'keeper. That flaw is the reason we could sign him rather than him be at some middling Premier League outfit. He's made more than just 2/3 mistakes this season, but every 'keeper makes mistakes, some of them bad, so just listing all the goals he could have done better on as an argument for him being a liability is stupid. Otherwise every 'keeper is a liability.

That goal against QPR was one of the worst bits of 'keeping I've ever seen, and that includes watching Federici howlers at Wembley, vs Stoke etc plus watching Sheppard and Van der Kwaak in goal for us. As was the howler he dropped for us when playing for Wigan. He isn't a liability though, he's an asset who'll oxf*rd up majorly too often.

But make no mistake, he's better than Bond, who is all round soft and suspect, though he may well develop into a fine 'keeper.
