Speculation - Joel Ekstrand

by Royal_jimmy » 12 Jun 2016 10:07

Without a club and looked solid every time he's played against us. Would definitely strengthen us at the back too.

Could be one who we may look at signing?

he is Swedish, and if he has got over his injury problems would be a very good signing.

He's fairly decent at this level.

I wouldn't be averse to him signing.

Solid enough signing if it comes off, if he wants to stay in and around his current area, I'd imagine ourselves and Bristol City will hold an advantage over Leeds.

That said, it doesn't speak much for top 6 ambitions when we're making free signings or breaking the bank with 100k offers.

I don't mind us trying to make a few solid, Championship-level signings and the odd punt on someone from lower down.

Ekstrand would be a good squad addition, to help develop Cooper and Big Denz, and cover for McShane too. I know nothing about Coker, but hopefully he will a bit of hunger that we've been missing and will challenge Obita for the left-back spot.
