I'd play with passion and effort but pretty sure I ain't playing any time soon. To me Williams is a slightly upmarket Andy Hughes, all effort no end product with the odd decent goal as redemption.

Agreed. Not really a team player, runs into cul-de-sacs too often, loses the ball and cries foul. His other "trick" is to run crossfield for thirty metres then pass to the person he could have passed to anyway.

Think he could have been an excellent player if the right manager had given him a severe jolt. I won't miss him.

^ Agreed

CountryRoyal Bristol city fan on OTIB rates him as "best self-destructive midfielder in the league".

I don't know what's shocking about that, it's spot on.

Stop it. I've had a difficult day. One shocker to the next, just ask Hendo.

Although in fairness despite my well publicised reservations of Williams he's played well of late, certainly of a consistence unseen for a while.

Even Ferguson disposed of Stam as he considered him a weak link ( at the time). No time for sentiment. To be a better team we need better players than we already have.

Oh don't get me wrong I wasn't suggesting we should keep him, just giving an honest and balanced assessment. Last year of contract and starts to perform consistently... why does that sound familiar?
