Theroyalbox
He was promised signings were going to be made and they haven't met his expectations

How do you know that?

No one should be holding the club to ransom.

If he doesn't want to be at Reading then he should go. The last thing we need is players in the squad with their head not right. After last season we need everyone pulling in the right direction. Take the money and reinvest into the squad.

Believe me its true,

I don't think he's holding the club to ransom at all, hes a top end championship player/mid table premiership. I think the fact he has given Reading the opportunity to match his expectation shows he wants to be at Reading. I would suggest that shows his head is in the right place and he wants to be the best he can be.

People always get bitter when a player wants to leave a club and I never understand it

Elm Park Kid I honestly think this is a bad move for Moore. He's clearly a player that needs regular first team action and he won't get that at Brighton. Sure, you get to be a Premier League player on Premier League wage, but at some point you have to care about being a footballer.

A premier league player?
At Brighton?
For how long?
My money is firmly on Brighton being a Champ club again this time next year.

Just a question.

Do we KNOW he made a transfer request?

How do we know?

My view is for 8 Million or more (no pun intended) sell and replace.

That is a good profit and we have had plenty of excellent, far cheaper, CBs

This one is easy for me. Don't play him until the tranny window shuts. If we get what we want (10 mil?) ideal, he's gone, for silly money.

If they don't want to pay us what we value him at, we don't sell him. Simple.

He's got 4 years left on his contract, and he's the best CB we've got.

If we don't sell him and we're decent this season, he'll possibly be worth more in Jan/next Summer - if we don't sell him and we're sh*te, then he's still our best CB, still English and still young. Price stays as is.

It's win win for Reading I think.

That's essentially what will happen. He is not available tomorrow night so with the window closing before the Forest game, he'll either be gone or be here until Jan at the earliest. Would imagine if he stays we'd see him against Brum for the first time.

The manager said he did and it hasn't been refuted.

PieEater This is the guy that missed a penalty that could have got us promoted.

We stuck with him after that, I think he needs to show a bit of loyalty.

Can only assume that the manager has decided that since a transfer request has gone in, there is a strong likelihood that he will be sold by this time next week.

Is a pretty standard call once a player has asked to leave.

But he could still go somewhere on loan, as loans are still allowed until the end of August.

PC has said he will not be considered for Friday (although he did say Saturday).

The way he said it he seemed pretty pissed off. Can't see Moore getting back in for a few weeks should he end up staying.

Only in the Football League and I really can't see us loaning him to another club in the Championship unless they are agreeing to stump up a lot of cash in Jan.

He could feasibly still go abroad though given all other transfer windows remain open until the end of the month.

Interesting that Lampard is playing Vydra tomorrow, even tho he was very close to joining Leeds few weeks back (and only didn't cos he didn't agree personal terms with them).

Collins John
Devon Malcolm...

(It's actually Kean Bryan - not too sure that improves it much)
