Zip As mentioned he is relatively small just like Baldock and NcNulty. If we play a lone striker role he is going to struggle. No thanks.

Snowflake Royal Are we realistically going to sell Baldock, McNulty and Bodvarsson?
And if we do, why Hooper when there's Oliveira available?
Oliveira > Piggott > Hooper for me.

Fee agreed with Millwall for Böðvarsson

Victor Meldrew Those oldies haven't all been a success, including Billy Sharp whose natural home is Sheff Utd.
As a further cautionary note remember Les Ferdinand.

Sutekh You just don’t know, Reading have acquired ageing strikers before and have got more than value for money eg Kermorgant, Quinn, Morley and like those Hooper knows where the goal is so given there’s no transfer fee and given the position of the club this summer this is a no brainier really. And at least we know he’s not likely to be on silly money if he does sign.
Strikers then will be Loader, Novakovich, Hooper and Smith looks like he’s still in the mix.
