Rumour - Leonardo Ulloa

https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/08/06/do-report-nottingham-forest-and-reading-want-free-agent-leo-ullo/

Seems dubious to me but interested to know people's thoughts on a free transfer. 33 years old now.

Always liked him but with Joao seemingly on his way to us we probably don't need to discuss whether Ulloa would now be too old.

Wouldn't be against this if we didn't get Joao, as long as he's fit.

Give him a one year deal, then that gives us another year to get our house in order without spending £5m+.

We haven't done too badly with strikers over 30..

On a free yes, if he’s still in good nick and it’s a 12-month contract.

The question should be, would you prefer Baldock on the bench or Ulloa? Ulloa for me hands down.

Definitely not. If Joao comes in then I hope that’s it as far as forwards are concerned.

On a free, could be another useful addition/upgrade to squad, if they think he is, whether Joao is here or not.

No reason why he wouldn’t be. Fletcher is 32 and seemed to get around ok on Saturday. I reckon Fletcher is the sort of nasty, bullying centre forward we need. A less sophisticated Jimmy Quinn. As a side we are just too nice. Whether Ulloa is a beast I have no idea.

Joao, yes, has a future... what we need.

Ulloa, no especially not if Joao is coming. End of his career, short term stop gap, will block opportunities for Nova. Wrong sort of signing IMO.
