SCIAG These days “too small” is usually the “I like you as a friend” of “reasons why we released you”. I know Reading are still using it despite Karacan, Liam Kelly, Tanner, East, etc.

Bit different in a position which generally speaking commands some degree of height. No idea how tall this kid but you don’t get many CB’s less than 6ft/6ft1. To be shorter than that and still be effective you have to be really really oxf*rd good, and not many are.

Point taken. I think Akin Odimayo is a smidge under six foot. Exception that proves the rule etc. but it does show we’re not averse to short centre backs. If Puyol and Cannavaro (and Kyle Walker!) could make it work at a much higher level then I think someone on the level of prime Ingimarsson, for example, could probably still make it work.

Osho can only be about 5ft10 and he stayed til he was 21. Who knows though, maybe this kid if 5ft 2 and 7 stone

What do you mean I can't be a centre back because I'm too small!? I identify as a tall centre back so you have to let me be one!

Snowflake Royal Tongue in cheek.

Yeah, that’s the problem. It’s no different to an attack helicopter joke.
