Speculation - Armand Gnanduillet

by morganb » 03 Jan 2021 12:29

Just random speculation but I initially wondered if the loan of Walker could be linked with a possible deal for Armand Gnanduillet the striker who played against us for Blackpool last January. However a quick Google revealed he left Blackpool last summer and he just became a free agent after leaving his Turkish club. Worth a look?

May be too late as Alan Nixon says

ROTHERHAM. Taking an interest in striker Gnanduillet. Back from Turkey. Ex Blackpool.

A bull of a player with an eye for goal, good cover for Joao, if we are not looking at him we should be. No fee, would probably only command a sensible wage. Could give another dimension to our game aswell. If we brought him on late on with Joao and Meite. We could just squeeze there defenders into the goal.

If Rotherham are in for him I can’t see we’d have much chance.

What is the obsession with this guy on here? He had a single half decent game against a second string Reading team in the cup and suddenly he's the new Lewandowski.

He was dominant against us last year, and really caught the eye. As well as backup for Joao, also cover for Meite, competition for places, physical threat on the bench.

As long as we don't put him on penalties.
