From Despair To Where? In what way is it depressing reading?

I suppose he had a season out with a hamstring injury but that was 5 years ago before he made his debut.

Signed for Derby at 16, made his debut at 19, had a spell on loan at Shrewsbury, a season on loan in the SPL and then played 30 games in a season at Derby before being signed by a team in the Premier League.

Admittedly, he struggled with the step up and is 4th choice but he may just have something to prove and would arguably be a better option than anyone we currently have.

Yeah. Not getting ptr's downer.

Does it say he hates Leona Lewis or something? Or has he tackled Antonio?

paultheroyal I want him to be a success, i hope he is a championship beater, but the hard facts which is what we have to go on is not great.

So you're basically assessing his career on 8 games in the Premiership in a shit side.

Give over.

90+ games since 2013 is an issue in itself. I watch alot of football and he has never been on my radar or spoken about. League one and scottish prem loan moves is something Marc Mcnulty would do, bottom line it does not fill me with confidence.

Lol the arrogance.

And people have a go at me.

He'd be a shit signing for the PL. Maybe a promotion chasing club. We're a relegation concerned side with signings restricted, if you think we can do much better you're deluded

He jumped up a league because he was too good for Derby. If he'd dropped down a league instead, as per Antonio, Dickie, Fosu and Stacey, I'm sure people would be raving about him.

In normal circumstances I would be pleased with this signing let alone when we are seriously hampered by wage restrictions. We will do very well to land him.

This. And for all we know we are nowhere near getting him and any LB that signs this week will be an unknown Serbian free agent, who last played in the Romanian second division.

It is usually the underwhelming signings that seem to always impress - they just get on a do the job.

Given our circumstances Lowe would be a good acquisition - the fact that a few other teams are looking at him means he is not the complete donkey made out to be by the few. I think people look at games played and instantly write them off as useless.

It would also seem that the other clubs in for him are reliant on shifting other players out first. No guarantee that those moves would even materialise.

We just need a left back, he fits the bill. It will improve us. End of really.

Can’t be picky in our current state can we

Alan Nixon suggesting no one has offered enough in wages to take Lowe. That rules us out then.

Sheff utd don’t need to get rid of him do they? Flooded with parachute cash and £25m from the sale of their keeper

Reckon their just as likely to play hardball and just keep him in the reserves if they don’t get what they want for him. Still think this is prob wishful thinking our side atm

Going to Forest. Hardly surprising as he's from that way, and if there was money involved we never stood a chance.

Yep, thought it was always a long shot imagine we have other options being worked on.

We should just sign Neil Taylor and be done with it.

Forest are desperate, have got rid of all their LBs and seem to be happy to be splashing cash around and aren't limited like we are. Minute they came in we didnt have much hope

More likely we will end up signing his brother Gordon.

I am not sure if it has been confirmed or not but I read somewhere we have to approach the EFL to seek permission to sign a player and make a business case for it. Does this mean we have to put all our eggs in one basket i.e go to them and say we want to sign Max Lowe and then start the process all over again once we are turned down with a different player? We can't go to them and say "here are 3 left backs we want to speak to, can we sign them"?

Joe Bennett is still available. Not sure about his fitness as he was recovering from an injury.
Neil Taylor is shot imo. He became a total liability for Wales in the end. I would rather play Bristow than sign him. Frankly the options look dire.

This is beginning to pee me off.Apart from the Clubs with parachute payments;how can any other club in this league afford to splash the cash ?
