But could he still be registered with us? So maybe he can be on a play on the day scenario. Wishful thinking.

From the club's perspective there are 3 good reasons for him to sign before the end of the window, Luton, Huddersfield and QPR.
Lose all of those and we are in real trouble.

What a shame that we are in no position to push Andy to sign.

While losing all 3 would keep us on a very poor run, I wouldn't say we're in "real trouble" for losing to 4th and 7th in the league as a team in a relegation scrap.

Apart from Bournemouth and Fulham this division is made up from 3rd to 19th of teams where there is not much between them IMHO.
So, suggesting losing to particular teams dictates whether or not we are in trouble is irrelevant-losing 3 more on the trot means trouble in my view.

Let's hope for better tonight and maybe not ship our customary (of late) at least 2 goals.

We are now a week on ahead of a game tonight where he won't be playing as he isn't signed on during a window where there are only 4 weeks to do business. Regular updates should be provided, especially now he isn't eligible to play for us.

CLUB STATEMENT: Still no update on the Andy Carroll situation. As we said last week, we've offered him a contract and are waiting to hear back. He can't play tonight, but you already know that.

"Whats the point in releasing such a pointless statement, the club never tell us anything"

You can't please anyone who'd say that. Doesn’t mean you shouldn't try to please some people.

That’s a club statement? Very odd statement to end it with “but you already know that”!

Well he was at the ground last night so that's a positive sign at least.

Not sure what is taking so long - hopefully it can all be resolved ahead of Saturday and we can have him playing.

We need him to re-sign until the end of the season and both him and Joao to stay fit.

Would love to see a front two of Carroll and Joao just bullying defenders.

He is probably waiting for any other offers to come him, which is his prerogative.

Praying more like after sitting there and watching that last night.

We’ll probably have to wait until after the visit to QPR to find out what happens next.

He'll probably be playing for QPR by then.

He`s a free agent he can sign any time he likes outside of the window.

Has turned down Burnley, likely because he wants to stay in the south rather than money as I'm sure they offered him more than £1k a week

We have offered him more than that this time around.

....I'd like to see him and Yakou flattening the opposition - leaving Joao to appear and twinkle his way through the remains and bag a whole raft of goals.....

...be like two bulldozers up front with a matador lounging between them?.
