Sounds promising. Only concern would be will he be out of his depth at this level and is it too soon for him to make the step to the Championship. We've hardly got a good track record with PL loanees either in recent times either.

Recent PL loanees (last 4 seasons) -

Baba - success
Dele-Bashiru - ok
Drinkwater - meh / getting much better under Ince
Hein - ok, got injured
Gibson - meh
Virginia - awful
Miazga x 2 - success
Ejaria x 2 - success
Sims - poor
Baker - outstanding
Oliveira - outstanding
Martinez - outstanding

In the main the PL loanees have been really quite good (except from Everton).

Just mentioned above but, I meant young PL loanees with limited first team experience. As mentioned above with yourself, those with limited experience/young haven't been that great really, Virginia, Sims, Gibson, Hein etc. Even others from abroad like Esteves weren't fantastic either.

Point being, recently, young loanees in general haven't worked out that well for us, so it's something we need to start getting right if we are to be successful in that market.

Think Gibson was ok, just not really needed. Ejaria was a youngster at the time

Would be nice to get some really rated players in though

Bit of over stating it in a few places there. Ejaria's first spell was ok, nothing more, he was the weakest of the 5 by some way. Miazga's second spell was poor and injury riddled.

But yes in general and to the rest

It would be character building for him if nothing else.
Club a complete shambles, toxic atmosphere, probable relegation battle, It will do the lad a world of good.
