Bit of a gamble imo

Both him and Fornah untested in the league and might have been better used on someone with a bit more experience

On the other hand could provide that extra bit of creativity of Ejaria’s not doing the job

Would be a good signing. Already added some grit, now a bit of creative flair. Give us the title now.

YorkshireRoyal99 Wouldn't mind that at all, be interesting to see which position he plays in, can also cover LWB if that is the route we go down re formation.

He plays ACM or right wing.

I think it balances out our midfield quite well to be honest, but I can see what you mean re experience. As it stands, only Hendrick and Ejaria have any experience at Championship level in our midfield (bar Tetek who hasn't played a great deal himself) but if we are able to pull off deals for Loum and Drinkwater (possibly), then it gives us a bit more experience in terms of both actual games played and Championship experience.

I do think there is a nice blend developing in the midfield, providing we can pull off another deal or two in that area, which should round us out quite well for the season.

Had him on FM on a recent save file which said could cover LB/LWB, that's where I got that from.

That must be why people are calling him the Jamaican Ivan Perisic

Olise was untested at Championship level when we signed him.....
Laurent had played one game at this level......

But these are at least the right sort of gambles. Many championship clubs end up having to get one or two unknown prospects on loan to complete their squads.

Yes of course they may come in and smash it. Obvs Olise had already had game time under Bowen the season before he was good and Laurent had plenty of experience and was a fair bit older than Fornah

Not against it - particularly if we do say then also pick up DD, but would probably have preferred another older head

Yes, though those teams often don’t have strict embargoes on that at the same time…

To be honest looking at our general recruitment over the years I would not be unhappy if the club applied to have our current transfer restrictions made permanent.....

Ha yes maybe. Certainly the recruitment seems to have had real focus this year rather than signing up randoms

He’s very young and we have seen the likes of Virginia and Gibson fail when they came in on loan but he does seem to be sought after. As a back up to Ejaria I would be happy with this though. Unlikely he would be consistent enough to be starting every week.

Huge difference between youth in defence and youth in attack though. Would reckon the number of players who play regularly in their teens would be far higher in attacking positions (zero stats to support that).

Yes sort of agree. I’m fine him joining. If Loum joins then we are well stocked on the defensive side of midfield. Quite like the idea of a talented, attacking young player joining.

He should definitely have the support behind him now in the case of Hendrick and Loum, for example, that should allow him to be free to get on the ball, play, create etc like most young attackers want to do and that does seem to be his game having had a bit of a read up on him earlier.

I think it's one that can work and his versatility will be important for us as well, would be a good addition to the squad.

Pleased with this one if it comes off.
We have seen before with Arsenal and Chelsea their teenagers are not young and immature-see earlier loans out for Mason Mount, Gallagher and Reece James as well as Sakha and Smith-Rowe not looking out of place playing against seasoned pros.

We are building a squad that just might not be the relegation prospects intimated by many.
