Sarr and Loum expected to sign next week. Ince wants 4 or 5 more including another striker.

It’s unusual for a manager to quote names on the radio. Sarr will be a good signing.

Ince is definitely looking to beef us up, and frankly, it's needed.

Agreed. Go physical this season. Right approach with the players we have left and have been able to pick up

Get these two in, NGW, still have a loan to use. Maybe BOO. Suspect then we’re about done

I can’t see us signing NGW as surely Ince would have given him more game time if he was serious about signing him. Maybe they’ve seen something in training and by all accounts he did well against West Ham so you never know. Sadly, I think I am just desperate for us to sign a left back and I don’t care which one.

Assuming we'd bave already signed BOO if he hadn't got injured and we're monitoring that, given someone said a couple of weeks ago a LB was imminent.

And we do need 2 really.

On the other hand why keep him around if they have decided not to sign him.....
It takes weeks the the league to approve signings apparantly (source : random bloke on 27 bus)

To be honest, if we get Sarr, Loum, BOO and Obi Wan then this window will have worked out better than I could ever have hoped.

Doubt NGW would have come on today if ince wasn’t keen

And he did pretty well as well. Think he’ll sign

Agree, plus Ince was adamant that he wants another striker.

Yes I don't get that at all. I presume a deal must be able to be struck otherwise the club wouldn't have wasted expense and resource on taking him on trial in the first place, but given that why does he get named as a sub but not played when the management really need to be looking at the options and set up with a specialist left back.

Unless he's not quite fit for some reason of course....

He did get played in every game he has been here so far.

Hoilett did well at LWB and Azeez or Ince could do it as well.

Agree and I think it does set us up nicely, all things considered, for a very decent crack at survival and I could definitely see 3 worse teams than us this season, one of them being our opening day opponents.

Or they considered it more important to give more minutes to the player likely to start next week. NGW would of be on the bench if he signs so seeing how he can change the game from there makes sense.

They'll have seen enough in training to know if he is worth a contract.

If we do better than lose 4-1 it will be an improvement on last season.
We are joint favourites with Rotherham for relegation.

As was the case last season, with everybody fit we could reach somewhere around lower mid-table but "everybody fit" is most unlikely.

I wonder what happened to Massimo Luongo? He was spotted at the club and was reported as being on trial and played against Colchester but was never seen again. I thought he’d be a decent signing with his quality on the ball. Anyone in the know heard anything about him?

Probably still with Reading but receiving treatment for an injury or two.

Confirmation if it was needed from Eddie that Drinkwater been training with us. No suggestion yet of it being any more than that

Actually wouldn't mind too much if Drinkwater signed on for another year with the club.

No if we can afford it then all for it

If we can get Sarr and Loum over the line, DD, the LB and possibly another forward we’ve actually come up with a pretty decent squad considering the limitations. Real context on how much we’ve blown in previous years on prob about the same standard squad
