Luton want to sign Meite- who has indicated he won’t be signing a new contract with Royals.

Take anything over £2.5m for João definitely.

Lyle Taylor isn't great. I'd rather not waste money on him

Only a fcuking idiot would offer £2.5m for Joao. I'd be happy with £500,000 given he's OOC in 5 months.

And Everton are a club who have spunked millions on mediocrity

I can’t see anything further happening today. I’d have liked Cafu from Forest but nobody appears to be leaving.

‘ The loans of Tyrese Fornah from Forest and Mamadou Loum from FC Porto could be terminated early should any more players come in on loan because as things stand, the club have six players on temporary contracts. Only five loanees are allowed to be named in a matchday squad.’

I couldn't see either of those things happening to be honest and James Earnshaw has reported that nothing is expected to happen now in terms of outgoings tonight, which means we will be as we are for the remainder of the season.

Plenty in the tank to get the job done this season.

I say that and 5 minutes later Jokull Andresson has completed a loan move to League Two side Stevenage until the end of the season. Not that I expect it to make a lot of difference in the bigger picture.

Still good news, he seems to be racking up a bit of experience in the lower FL, hopefully he will impress and come into our side eventually.

So if a free agent becomes available we have a space in the squad. It could be a significant move.

Not sure if Andresson is part of the permitted 25-man squad. Jahmari Clarke has gone and joined Forest Green Rovers on loan for the remainder of the season, that looks like a good move potentially.

Andresson’s experience is all in the lower leagues so don’t think he is part of the 25.

I do like the Reading logic of "We need to make room for midfielders" by getting rid of midfielders.
