Whilst this all sounds lovely and you have to get the players when you can. I'm less than enthused by this.

I'm still hoping Shorey stays. I like Hunt and Convey. That would give us strength in depth on the left, but are we going to be able to keep them all happy? I wouldn't have thought so. This "done deal" seems to lend credence to Shorey or Hunt going, which I'm not best pleased about.

I'd much rather we got in a quality right winger and attacking central midfielder which is where we really need to strengthern. I just can't see us spending enough to get Taylor, a right winger, possibly a striker and an attacking midfielder, not to mention a centreback for ANC related problems.

Hunt and Convey are IMO more than good enough, providing we have some quality on the other flank and an ability to tackle, keep possession and break forward in the middle.

Pray Hunt goes , Taylor provides cover for both left wing and left back a lot more admiradbly then Hunt.

Why? Hunt has been the one bright spark in our midfield this season, Convey so far has done nothing. SC see's Hunt as a massive influence on the team.

Clearly you are a loon

Fezza Convey so far has done nothing.

Apart from the 3 assists he has made this season in the Premiership despite coming back from a long term injury and having not played many minutes.

Let me rephrase, he has been no better than Hunt and does tend to drift out of games!

So you are now implying that Hunt has done nothing either?

Damn you to hell! It is to early in the morning to think. All was getting at is that readingfanchild is plainly a numpty to suggest we get shot of Hunt. In hindsight I should have kept this opinion in my head and not used the computer so early in the day!

Jeff Stelling suggested Taylor would be a good signing for someone during soccer saturday although in Paul Merson's opinion he's a good wingback in the right system but not a good enough defender to play as an orthodox full back

Remind me why ex-Walsall manager Paul Merson is concentrating on "Soccer Saturday" punditry...

Why on earth would you want arguably our best player so far this season to leave. Obviously you either want Reading to be relegated or you are a fool. Hunt may not be the best crosser of the ball but gives 100% every week and without him I have no doubt we would have considerably less than 18 points so far!

Alright, Grandad. Keep your wig on. We don't learn good English anymore, not like in your day.

I do think Taylor will be a replacement for Shorey.

He won't come here as 2nd choice and won't get in the left wing position over Hunt, rightly imo.

Am I convinced Taylor's a good replacement for Shorey?

No, but I can't think of anyone better we could get to be honest.

Agree with what others have said, is he a left back and is he one of those players whose rep in based on motd highlights?
